Believe it or not, the transformers series hit a new low. With this film it seems like they just picked whatever they thought was cool and put it in the film. Example 1, according to this film, Frederick Douglass, Harriet Tubman, George Washington, Shia LaBeouf and many more are part of a secret organization to protect transformers. Example 2, they straight up ripped off a scene from the also bad, suicide squad. There are 2 good scenes. One that involves bumblebee in WWII, the other lasts 2 seconds. The movie is so long and boring that I wonder what drew Anthony Hopkins to it. Also if you are a transformers animated series fan, you’ll hate the changes that they kmade for the film. It seems like Michael Bay and the writers just picked things from the TV show, said “Who cares?” And did whatever they wanted to do. Cool special effects can’t protect this franchise anymore. It couldn’t since the third film. The characters are so shallow in this film that Mark Wahlberg’s character kept making fun of his female coarse because she was smart. We know she’s smart because there are characters reminding us every 10 minutes that she’s smart. But I guess Michael Bay never learned “show not tell.” This movie is a long and boring mess. And Optimus prime is barely in the movie so if you’re thinking of watching it for that then don’t. But I guess the Video and Audio are near perfect. Doesn’t warrant a purchase unless you really like it though.

I felt like this movie was fairly well choreographed however it seems to me that they are really reaching for story to keep the franchise alive. Plot holes aside the film is great to watch with all the action in it

These keep getting better and better. Wahlberg was a great addition.
