Gave him 149 for upgraded protection just to find out later it was a scam so no I was not happy because the site that you use to load it was hacked

My brand-new Windows PC seemed to never settle down - fan always running high, always hot, always busy. After a few weeks, I got tired of this, and started looking for the reason - Windows 10 can't be THAT bad ! And I found the reason in the task list. This software is constantly doing something, 24 hours a day. Why? That is not how antivirus is supposed to work. After the initial securing of the machine, it should become invisible, not suck up a steady 20% of the CPU. I uninstalled Trend Micro, and immediately the machine settled down. I installed another anti-virus, and the machine remains normal. Worse, I installed Trend Micro on a fairly new Mac Mini, and it brought it to its knees - overheating, and finally freezing. I uninstalled it there, and the Mini went back to normal. I came to the conclusion that this software clobbers your PC, and removed it from another Mac just on principle. If the salesman offers you this software cheap with a new machine, just say no. I don't care about settings or anything else. Any software that is this bad right out of the box - I do not want. Period.
