Free 6 month antivirus

I am used to Norton antivirus so I am not going to download an unfamiliar antivirus that is only good for 6 months. This was not a valued gift as it is not usable for me or my computers. I want to be assured that I have proper security on all my devices and feel safe downloading it.

I installed this and it only worked for 30 days. When I called Mcafee they said it was false advertisement on best buys part since their subscriptions only come in 30 day or 1 year choices. When I go on-line to contact customer service it is about impossible to actually get ahold of someone.
