On top of that, it slowed everything down. I tried adjusting the settings, etc. - it didn't help. I ended up uninstalling it and going with Webroot.

They usually slow down your machines, and they are only for a limited time anyway. For most newer computers, I recommend you use Windows Defender. It comes built into most new PCs is free and never expires on you.
