Great ensemble of actors coming together to give standout performances in a funny send up of the Hollywood process. I was laughing from start to finish - from the cheesy fake previews to the "method acting" of Robert Downey Jr. And Tom Cruise as Les Grossman - freaking hilarious!

It's a hollywood movie making fun of hollywood. It has action, comedy, drama, all rolled into one. While it's incredibly stupid at times, it's fun to laugh at. Just a all around fun movie that will keep you laughing as long as you don't take it serious.

I like this movie... it's awful but I like it. Every time I watch it I find another comedic nuance that I had missed previously. IF you are looking for a good movie, skip this one over. IF you are looking for cheesy comedy, you've found the place for it.

I think this movie deserves so much credit as one the best comedies ever produced. I think Ben Stiller is an awesome director . Robert Downey Jr gave an incredible performance as usual. Just my opinion, but it's the funniest movie I've ever seen .

The plot is slap happy fun, stars making fun of their own industry. And frankly Rober Downy Jr. and Tom Cruise OWN this movie lol Brandon Jackson a close second. Jay Baruchel held is own as well. Mcconaughey held is own I guess in a much smaller way. Jack Black was the beginning of the breakdown in pure laughter, and Ben Stiller just sucked what remaining life there was out of this movie. Watching the "forrest gump" like parts was PAINFUL because his acting is soo bad. I still own it, and I do watch it from time to time. I basically feel like roller coaster ride with Ben Stiller providing the low boring tedious parts and the rest of the cast providing the lopp de loops and freefalls that make a roller coaster exciting.

Wife and I have seen this movie before but decided we wanted to own it. Great parts played well by Stiller, Black, Nolte and Downey. There’s so many parts I can’t help but laugh out loud. Enjoyable.

My son and I are big fans of the top billed cast (Downey Jr., Stiller, Black, Jackson, McConaughey and Baruchel) and are familiar with many of the others. This was a great group of actors so it kept our attentions the entire time.

This action/extremely funny packed film is just what you need if you live comedy and actors making fun of themselves. Ben Stiller did a great job. But so did Robert, Jack and all the other characters that made this film funny in a dark way. A must see.

This is one of my favorite comedies. It may not be a great movie, but Tom Cruise's character is over the top and fantastic. A digital copy of this movie would have been a good addition, but one can get around that with MKV and Handbrake.

This movie is one of the best most underrated movies to come out. Love the extended addition and the associate that helped me find it worked very hard and thats just one of the many reasons i suggest buying from best buy

Tropic Thunder is an easy film to enjoy. It appeals to the basest levels of humour without patronising its audience, while pricking the pomposity of the movie industry without going too 'meta' - this is far from self-fellation.

Although it was a bit hokey. It was very hilarious movie with a cast ready to dispense laughs. This story is set on a movie production in asia to film a war movie based on a true story of a war veteran. What ensues is comedy gold.

Usually I don't like Ben Stiller but this movie was a blast to sit through. A lot of the actors were okay making fun of themselves, which made the actors much easier to take in than usual. It actually seemed like Jack Black was acting too.

So many funny characters in this movie, in particular Robert Downey jr. and Tom Cruise! I did think the "Simple Jack" part of the story was pretty dumb but overall the movie provided a lot of laughs.

This movie is a complete blast. If you don't like off-color humor, you won't like it. Otherwise, you'll have a great time. I watch this numerous times without losing my fondness for it. This is a very quotable movie.

There are so few movies that I can just quote endlessly just for a random laugh, and this movie certainly fits that bill. I love movies that aren't afraid to be un-pc at times, making this an instant hit for me.

This movie is hilariously funny. I'm not a movie junkie and will not go into all the details of the movie. But worth having to get a good laugh. Robert Downey jr. Tho is my hero. Great actor in this movie.

I LOVE this movie! Ben Stiller and Robert Downey Jr. are downright hilarious. Tom Cruise was also a pleasant surprise. If you're a fan of movies like Dodgeball and Zoolander, you will likely enjoy this one.
