Easy assembly but should lean back but otherwise great chair

I bought this chair 3 years ago and about after a year and a half the chair sinks when i sit on it.I Always have to get up and hit the lever to make it pop back up.And later on the leather started to peel on the back rest.Im really diappointed about this $200.00 peice of junk.

I had been using Target brand office chairs for almost 5 years and overtime I sit in this chair I am so pleasantly surprised at the improvement in comfort. It's roomy and was easy to put together!

I purchased after reading reviews and it still turned out to be a horrible chair. Broke after less than 3 months of minimal use. Wasn't even worth the clearance price!

If you are thinking of buying this chair, or have just purchased it and are now reading the reviews, I just have a few things I think you should know in advance. Considering they probably won't even allow this review to go through since they probably screen them and edit them to death before they DO post them, I am not going to go into too much detail. Just kidding. The chair is nice, it looks nice, it is comfortable and it's exactly what I wanted. HOWEVER. You should know that the hardware is all screwed into the bottom of the seat cushion, so be sure and look at the instruction page before you get mad about there not being any hardware. Secondly, if you've ordered this chair already you should either buy a power drill with screw-driver attachments (if you don't already have one), or you should start lifting weights and doing hand exercises and prepare yourself for battle. The screws were machine screwed during packaging, I am assuming, as they were screwed in so tightly that I nearly broke my screw driver trying to unscrew them. I am not sure why they didn't just put them in a plastic baggy.... I don't have a power drill, otherwise I would have saved myself the 15 minutes it took unscrewing 8 screws. I have a stainless steel, nice set of screwdrivers. I tried 4 different sizes, flat-head and phillips. In the end it was a flat-head that worked, provided I stood up and literally put all my body weight onto it to turn the screw (which was in danger of being stripped). Both of my wrists are tired and the tip of my screw driver? Bent. I was afraid the handle was going to pop off of it! I'm an average, lower-class person, and I have assembled a lot of furniture in my day. I have never experienced such stubborn screws. That is really the only problem I have with this product. Maybe whoever is screening these reviews can make a couple of calls to some supervisors and see if they can't get that torque turned down just a little bit down there on them screws at the chair factory. Or start including a complementary power drill.

This chair is amazing. I normally wouldnt spend this much on a chair but it was definitely worth it. And compared to a lot of other chairs like this, it's a steal. The armrests are very comfortable, and it also has a nice weight to it so moving and turning feels smooth. As a gamer and student I spend a lot of time in my computer chair, so it needs to be comfy, sturdy, and look cool; and this definitely meets all three.

I purchased this chair for my husband six months ago for Christmas to use as a computer chair at home. He uses it 4-8 hrs daily. We tested this one out compared to other chairs and loved the look, feel, cushion, comfort, everything! The bonded leather does get worn out over time, but that is to be expected. Six months after purchase the "heavy-duty base that helps keep the chair steady during use" failed. While the chair was still in warranty, I failed to read the part of the warranty where you must have the ORIGINAL RECEIPT to prove your warranty for the chair. While we loved this chair, the customer service for this item is so deplorable that we will not be purchasing this chair again. Great buy while it lasted. I highly recommend getting an in-store warranty if you buy this.

I knew that when I replaced my old hard chair in my office that I was going to want to get a good quality chair. There were several chairs in the store to choose from but I kept coming back to this one. I just kept thinking...yeah it's kind of pricey, but will saving $40 or $50 be worth it if the chair I get doesn't hold up or isn't comfortable. This chair is sturdy and has a metal base, not plastic like some cheaper chairs. I have had the plastic bases break and when that happens you just have to toss it. When I sat in this chair I just it just felt so comfortable I knew that when I had to spend several hours at a time in it, I would really be thankful I picked this one. The chair was very easy to assemble and I have had it for a few months now and just love it. I started feeling guilty after a while because my wife still had a hard chair like the one I had before. I went ahead bought her one online and got it for a little less. They were having a special where they were offering free shipping so buying it that way saved me a 90 mile trip to the store. My wife is as tickled with her chair as I am with mine. I highly recommend this chair to anyone who spends a lot of time in their office chair and understand how important a comfortable chair can be to making that time more pleasant.

I love my new chair. I spend countless hours working on the computer and needed something that was not only comfortable but good looking and quality. This chair has met or exceeded all my expectations so far.

This is a great recliner/officer chair. Very comfortable. Has wheels, can move around. Made out of some sort of comfortable leather. Only negative is that even in the lowest setting, it might be high for some people. Especially when you recline back, your legs will be off the floor but its not that big of a deal.

The chair seems like a high quality material. I bought it as a replacement for a microfiber one that I had for several years. I love all the features of the chair and assembly wasn't too hard. The only problem I had with assembly was that some screws tried to cross-thread. My advice would be to push on the material to expose the threaded hole for the screw. Very good product.

Having had a couple of recent disasters buying chairs for my computer desk, I was hesitant on what I should get. The last one was from same manufacturer as this chair, and it fell apart because a bolt broke off in the hole, and I didn't have a receipt anymore, so I was stuck. So, I was nervous about this one. So far, so good. It assembled easily enough. It seems sturdy after assembling. One thing I like is that the arm rests fasten to the back using 2 bolts per arm rest, not 1 bolt like this company's cheaper chairs do. Their chairs with only one bolt cost less, but there is too much force being applied to the one bolt which caused my previous chair failure. This, with its two bolts, seems to be holding together well. I have had it for a couple months, and I also haven't needed to tighten any of the bolts yet. It is fairly comfortable, and tilts back well. The "leather" covering this one is made out of does tend to get sweaty and sticky though, so have an AC in the room where this chair is during the warm months. Cloth won't have that problem. I only give it 4 stars since I wish this was more like one of those office "task chairs" with the adjustable arm rests. I like to get the arm rests completely out of the way so they don't interfere with the keyboard tray. These arms rests keep me from pulling the tray right up close to me, as the tray gets blocked by the arm rests. But, I didn't want to pay $500 or more for one of those.

I love this chair. I was scooping all the stores and doing tons of research and came down to this chair. It is equivalent to about and 8 hour chair (how long before is STARTS to get uncomfortable) I have yet to have an issue with the chair and I am sitting in it ALL THE TIME! The company that makes this covers them for 5 years so i have no worries on the chair dying. I hear stories all the time of an arm going bad and them sending you both arms! I recommend this product!

Putting it together was not as easy as the salesman said but it was not to bad. It is one of the most comfortable computer chairs I have ever had. It rolls easy and is very comfortable to be in for longer times. The only bad thing is I tend to spend more time on the computer with this chair than I did with the last one.

I am very happy with the quality and comfort of the chairs. We purchased two of them. They were easy to assemble.

I am totally blown away by this company's (True Innovations) customer service. I had an arm mechanism break and I got all the necessary info off the bottom of the chair seat #model #, SKU, etc.), made the call to their 800 number, gave them the info, and they told me that they could not replace the broken mechanism in the arm but they would send me another arm...at NO COST to me. Gave me an ORDER # to follow-up with and that was that. Today, about 45 days later, I received not only the left arm replacement but also the RIGHT arm replacement as well. WOW! When this chairs finally wears out...I'm buying another True Innovations chair after this kind of service.

I would not recommend this chair to a friend. The day we got these chairs (we got two), they should have been returned. The reason we did not though was because they were the best chairs available for my herniated disc in my lumbar region. The problem with this chair is, it constantly and very steadily goes down. This is beyond annoying. I use a giant wooden desk, I'm far to low in this chair, when in the lowest position. I'm 6 feet tall and this chair puts me at the perfect height when it's all the way up. But this chair will randomly start going down, down, down. This will continue for several weeks then just stops. I've tried adjusting the chair, swiveling it to see if it works better in a different position but it does not. It will just stop doing it and you think it's finally fixed. Only a few weeks or months later it starts up again. Please, don't buy this chair. Both chairs do this, I use one and my dad has the other at his house. My dad is underweight and so I doubt this has anything to do with a person's weight. Despite this problem, I loved this chair when I first got it. It really helps with my back, I'm just not going to buy another one so it can annoy the absolute heck out of me too. I really need a good chair for my back, it's really bad. I hope they'll fix this problem in the future.

It was very hard to put together. It would have been nice if Best Buy offered that type of service, especially for handicap people. I know other stores do. As for below, I will mark Yes to recommend but be aware, you do need to be able to put it together yourself. All in all, it's super comfortable.

I have neck and shoulder issues and have found this chair to be very comfortable, even after long hours.

Sits a little higher than most chairs, a feature that I love! ultra comfortable, no issues with sitting in this thing for 6-8 hours a day.
