Changing terms conditions

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The online filing product used to be reliable for many years however, starting 2020, Turbotax has been changing terms and conditions after software is purchased. This has caused severe tax filing delays. In 2021 year, the software didn't allow me to file taxes after October as I had missed the April deadline. In 2023 year, I purchased software in January and received email in February that software must be used by mid-March to retain same price. If used after this cut off date, customers will be charged extra during filing. It isn't okay to force customers to pay extra after initial purchase.

Cheaper than using their website!

Buying the software is, strangely, cheaper than doing it on their website. The interface is not quite as smooth and if you start it on the website, a software package does not want to utilize that information.

The TurboTax 2022 worked good and guided me through all the topics nicely.

Can only file include State return by paying extra

In previous years the state return included in the Deluxe version could be easily printed and filed by mail. Now the Deluxe version lets you download and prepare your state return but the only way to file it is by paying an additional $25 to e-file it. The option to print and file the included state return has been removed, making this purchase a waste of my time and money.

It was it download. I did not want to download and requested a refund, but it was refused. My computer is older, and I was unable to download it and when I tried to download it to a new computer, it said I already had downloaded it and wouldn’t let me so I wasted $55 when I had requested before I even walked out of the store a refund I did not want to accept this, but I was forced to. Very unhappy.
