I noticed that TurboTax giving an instant $20 discount with the purchase of Quicken Deluxe. I really like TurboTax. A few years ago they connect me with a live tax person who took me from beginning to submission for an amended return that's saved me $440 in overpayments. They researched and found that the Thrift Savings Plan, a federal 401k, was a qualified plan in Illinois and was not taxed.

Physical with a download option

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A little weird, but be weary of the options on the deluxe and lower levels: there are Federal only option (which is the cheapest that is a digital download) and a Federal + State. Though the Best Buy description says (1-USER) the end user license can be installed into 5 computers. Also weird but interesting is that you will get a physical package but inside you will get the license code and be informed that you can do a digital download from Intuit’s site.

I do taxes for myself and another family member. Each year it seems to cost more for downloading state forms and e-filing. it's time to look for alteratives.

It guided me through tax changes. When I had some complicated issues and doubled checked my returns with tax accountants their were no changes.
