Does a nice job on federal but did not like not being able to print out state tax return without extra payment

It locks a four returns in a proprietary format. It’s annoying. Also it charges you for your state return. The software does work, which is why it isn’t a 1 Star. However it feels like a kick in the pants that I buy $60 software only to be told I need to pay to get my state return, and Now the PDFs of my return are in a format only TurboTax can read. Learned my lesson for next year.

I have been using Turbo Tax for more than 10 years without any problems loading the software. With the 2019 version I get an error when trying to activate the product. So far the answer to this is to disable my security software and try again. This is not something that I feel is a valid fix as it defeats the propose of having security software and exposes my computer to many problems.

You still have to pay for filing state which is misleading. Over all we got our taxes filled.

Good software for federal and state tax returns. Would be nice if the price wasn’t so high.

It does your taxes like the box says. Wish they would have had the forms updated sooner.

I've been using Turbo Tax for over 2 decades and purchased it again for the 2019 tax filings. Not sure why Inuit decided they need to implement license numbers or change how they do license numbers but the license number included in the package doesn't work. I purchased the deluxe + state and it only installs the basic version and tells me the license # printed in the package is invalid. Spent an hour with support on the phone and while the support rep was very nice and attempted to help, even going so far as to give me a new license number, the new one failed to get to the point where I could put in the license number. On two different computers. So I'm returning it to Inuit and I picked up H&R block and it installed with no issue. Maybe you'll have better luck, but buyer beware.

Completely disappointed with Turbo Tax. i have been using ithe software for 15 years or more. This years release had issues with updating the state tax 1040 for Illinois. it would stay in a loop and say the Illinois state software needed to be updated, I would update and still get the same error ( needs updating). I worked with customer service on line and over the phone. They finally admitted that there is a problem with the software and they weren't sure if the software would eventually get corrected. In the end they were unable to resolve. I tried to return the product because it did not work as advertised or at least get the federal only and was told no returns because its software. Simple to say that I will not buy Turbo Tax or recommend to anyone anymore.

Purchased Turbo Tax Deluxe for 2019 as I used it for 2018, however, in talking with Turbo Tax Support no IRS updates were received for the 1099-R so I was not able to complete my taxes with the software. Turbo Tax Support told me to just attach my 1099-R forms & submit to IRS which I did not feel comfortable doing so I went online & used FreeTaxUSA to do my 2019 taxes & filed my Federal return online. I think a refund for the 2019 Turbo Tax software is in order.

Ok product. Too pricey with all the other products out there. The other products have not required $20 to get the tax refund so far.

I’ve used TurboTax for the last eleven years but this year I am unable to file because the software fails to load and keeps quitting. I talked with Intuit but they haven’t been able to trouble shoot. My best guess is that there is a coding problem so that the software does not play well with Apple’s security sand boxing.I’m glad there is a tax extension because I will have to file by hand. Mac users beware.

i have used turbo tax for years with no problems, untill this year. i Efiled got an efile pin but did not get email from turbo tax, or irs of tax file being received i waited 1 week called turbo tax (took some digging to find a # to talk to a real person 8004754361) and irs neether knew where the files went . they said wait 21 days call irs back still dont know what happened
