    Amazing Headset for Gaming!

I use this headset everyday for video gaming with my friends and I can hear them Crystal clearly, and they can hear me perfectly. The PX-22's have an amazing audio depth to them and I would recommend this to everyone who is looking for a gaming headset. All the Games sound realistic because of the headset and it reduces the outside audio which usually distracts me from my games. Overall Best Headset for it's price!

Sound quality not as good as previous px21

all in all its a nice mid level gaming headset... its nice being able to adjust game volume and chat volume separately so one isnt overpowering the other.... adding the phone jack is a nice touch, although i havent used it yet. they are pretty comfortable if you wear them as far forward to the back of your ear as you can. prevents headaches.... my only gripe is the low frequency quality... ive tweaked the heck out of the equalizer settings under the sound controls in windows and still cant get them to sound as good as my old px21's... ive tried from 75-175hz at each boost all the way up to +24db and still cant get it to sound that great with music.... i guess these are intended solely for gaming....these do only respond to frequencies down to 50hz, unlike the px21's 20hz response.... this could be a factor... im an audiophile so im kinda disappointed with them for the price.... if you are just a casual gamer, they will suit you fine... if you are a heavy music listener while gaming, or a hardcore gamer, id suggest something better..... i would have gotten the px21 again but they werent available anymore through best buy and i used my BB card so i couldnt get them again.... overall px21>px22.. if you can still find the 21s somewhere, id suggest those instead

    WORKS GREAT!!! BUT!!!

I've had this set since June of last year. It worked great. But the hard plastic broke on the head band just above the ear piece. I took it back to Best Buy and they couldn't do a thing for me. They suggested I contact Turtle Beach. I needed a headset NOW!!! So I bought another one. Best Buy wouldn't even give me a break on the price!!!

I never really liked Turtle Beach headsets in the past, but I have to admit these are amazing. The only bad thing that I didn't like was the length of the cable. It's pretty long which may be a good thing as well if that's what you want. Overall it's a great headset and I recommend it to anyone.

I have had these headphones for over two years now. No noticeable sound changes from when i bought them. Sometimes I use my apple headphones with the amp. The build quality is nice. Sometimes I game 14 hours just using these

    Sound too low

I hear a lot of good things about Turtle Beach and there products. For a gaming headset this one is about average all around except for the volume level which is very sub par to say the least. Sound quality is good, not great. The bass (low end) is not very good at all. The worst part about these headphones is the volume doesn't go very high. At its loudest, with some additional settings and enhancements, it is about 3/4 as loud as my friends headset of the same cost. In my opinion, these headphones are about 1/2 as loud as my apple ear buds. Playing BF4 or COD:Ghosts at full volume with these headphones doesn't quite do it - especially when you can still hear the TV in the other room. Listening to music, I couldn't get the volume loud enough to satisfy my listening experience with music like techno/electronica/rap/hip-hop/rock/punk. I thought that it might just be me, but after giving them to my wife for a go she felt the same way when she really wanted to get "into" the music - she couldn't go any louder. I will be returning these this weekend.

This is a great headset but if you do not like long 6ft cables invest in a little more money and get the wireless and extra batteries lol.

After using this product for over a year it started to fail. I did a windows 8.1 update patch and it doesn't recognize the headset anymore. I tried in different computers and it works fine, only on the updated computer leaving one option, bad windows patch. Neither microsoft nor turtle beach wants to admit a problem and no solution has been given. Do not buy this product.

they sound great but if you have an xbox 360 and have an hdmi TV then you have to buy an extra cable in order for the sound to work... this is one of the only problems.

Only as great as its weakest link.

Everything about it was great ... except for the cord from the headset which isn't replaceable. The cords will go on you before anything else. Two replacements later I will never buy another turtlebeach product again. If your looking for quality look at where companies go cheap because they all cost save somehow. But to have a great product ruined by a garbage cord is just unacceptable.

    Not for PS4

I was really excited when i purchased this to replace my x12s (as i went from 360 to Ps4) i thought that they would be the same features just moved over onto the PS4. I use my X12s to game in my game room at night and no wake up the wife or the kids. Sadly they are not…. I've tried all the youtube setups (which are all the same) and sadly the very feature that i loved on my x12s was that i was in control of my volume. Now, if i want to raise the volume i have to navigate through menus on the ps4 instead of the turn of the knob. Which is horrible and a distraction in any game i play. Also I can't seem to turn off the mic. (even when its on mic off mode) so now I'm that annoying guy with his mic always on. Im sure this would perform very well on current gen systems but for my PS4 I'm going to have to return these.

Great...if you like bulk and wires

This is a decent headset for the price, but it is very bulky, painful to wear for more than 20 minutes or so. There's not option to use it without the inline-amp to USB connection, so you're stuck with 6 ft or more of a bulky USB cable and 3.5mm cable, plus the heavy inline amp. For the price, sure, but you get what you pay for.

I bought these for my son and he loved them. He got them for Christmas and used them for on-line gaming. He is thirteen and used them a fair amount of time. Here it is one month later and they are broken. Guess what else, they are outside of the return policy. I don't have another $80 to throw away to get a new pair'!!

    Good sound, design hurts ears

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

There are a lot of great things about this headset, and the design only seemed to be the only flaw. The speakers are connected to the headband at an angle, and this positioning would twist my ears while I was wearing it. I could wear them for about an hour, but anything longer made my ears really sore. I would have to wear the headband practically on my forehead for it to be remotely comfortable. After telling some friends about this problem, I learned that a few of them had similar problems. I ended up returning them and getting another pair. I would recommend this if you are buying it for your kid or if you have small ears, since it may not be as much of a problem. I do not have huge ears by any means, so I would steer clear and buy another pair if you are an adult gamer.

Alright for careful people. (FPS/MMO Gamer)

These are an alright pair of headphones, definitely. But, their are some problems, 1. The headphones are very flimsy these things will break if you are not careful with them, one wrong pull or if you head is the wrong size/not adjusted right. The plastic will crack and eventually separate. 2. The microphone, now I have no idea what happened I don't think it was broken from the beginning or anything but people say that I am a robot when I do talk in game. 3. This headset will not work in HD on the Play Station at least. It only works in SD (because the cables are not for HDMI cables).

When i first plugged it in the sound quality was not as good as my X12s. Also i noticed that the Bass boost and the treble boost didn't work at all. A Couple weeks later a tried to record something and the audio quality was the WORST!!! (i am talking about my voice quality in the recording). It was the same when using Team Speak 3.. i sounded really bad to all my friends.(Voice Quality) It seems to work OK for Skype though... Also after 3 weeks of use it just got worse! The sound quality was really bad I don't know how but the sound quality got worse. Id trade this headset for a Different headset any day.

    Do not buy for PS4!!!

For a ps4 its not worth it at all I had it for 3 days and the wire that plugs in to my controller broke! I can only hear out of the right ear. I do have warranty on it but I know if I get a new cord for it I would have to get one every week. It hangs from your controller and makes the cord bend and break. It would probably be fine if the wire was not so short. Also the bass and treble does not work for PS4 or the other stuff. All that works for the PS4 is the mute switch.
