Work pretty good for the first few months but then got hard to hear off of

I purchased this for my son for Christmas and he loves it,

Had no problems, doing this review just to get more best buy points.

I love the sound for this headset. The bass is wonderful. It sits comfortably on your head. The sound is clear... At least for the first week or so... It's easily worn down. I've replaced it three times already and it's broken a fourth, so I'll be heading back to the store to get it replaced AGAIN, but I find it worth it IF you buy the warranty. It's a good mic, but the price could be about 15 dollars lower, especially since it breaks so easily. Also... I am 1000% serious when I say this... If you get this... BUY THE WARRANTY! Then just replace it later. It's better than spending the money and then realizing 2 months later you have to go back because it's broken AGAIN.

Average to poor sound quality, pads broke down over the course of a year (flaking like crazy), mic is horrible. I would not buy this again unless they were $15 or less.

These headphones seem to quit working quickly, either the audio goes or the microphone goes out. Ive exchanged them 3 times within 6 months. Not a good choice.

All I can say is wow the sound quality these headphones put out is amazing. I was set on buying a set of x11's when I noticed these sitting on the shelf and really liked the way they looked and saw they were only $10 more so I went out on a limb and bought a product I hadnt heard about but boy am I glad I did. Extremly comfortable extremly loud and great bass. One minor issue that I ran into was if your tv does not have a rca componet that works through your HDMI output you have to buy a adapter that plugs into were your rca cables would be plugged into your xbox if you plan on playing with these using your HDMI cable!!! So i went back to best buy bought the adapter and couldnt be happier with my purchase

These are ok to get bye, but buy astro a40's they are the best you can buy for hardcore and competitive gamers. These just can't handle the detailed sound due to the lack of Dolby digital.

I've had the x12 for about 4 months and i have to say for 60 dollars it was money well spent. The sound quality is amazing on these and it even has boosted stereo on top of it. The sound is rich and the bass is mad It also feels very comfortable i use these for gaming on the computer so i'm sitting for like 5 hours straight and there is very little discomfort. People do tell me my voice in chat sounds a lot clearer now. So far everything works like when i bought it so they're pretty durable and considering i stuff these in my backpack to peoples houses also says a lot. As the cords tend to get in the way a bit it does allow me long hours of game play and no worries about batteries because its USB powered. Setup might take some time so here is the fastest way: Plug them in and use them!! If you're not looking to spend too much for gaming headphones but are looking for a pair that are worth it get the X12.

these were a bit uncomfortable after wearing them for 30 minutes, the design is decent but it has too much pressure on your head.

I used these for work and had to replace 7 times in less than a year. Very flimsy and not good quality at all.

This is the best gaming headset I can find for a reasonable price. The sound quality and bass boost is great, it will really enhance your game. The mic quality is very clear, and is flexible so when you don't need it, you can move it out of the way. This is a great first affordable gaming headset for beginners. For PC compatibility, you will need a microphone and a headphone jack, as these cords are separated. The product I attached to this review I have bought and it works perfectly if you only have one jack. It is USB powered only, so you will need USB power for it to work. Overall, if you are looking for a good affordable upgrade from earphones or your previous headphones, this is the product you need.

Hello everyone, well I heard about this new headset and decide to buy it. I already own the DX11 that comes with the DSS Adapter. Now if you already own a DX11 and you might want to upgrade to this, is not necessary, two things that I only notice this from the DX11 besides the color, are the earcup are a bit smaller, and secondly the sound has better bass and less distortion for example when you playing really loud. I was playing Black Ops, I crank up the volume and you can notice the small difference. The reason I bought this set, in case I have a friend coming over and wants to play ,I thought it be cool to have a second set. If you have a DSS 7.1 adapter it makes even better. If you looking for your first set ever I highly recommend, for everyone else that owns already DX11, you'll be alright, no need , unless you just have $60 extra and want to expended.

I decided to buy these at best buy as I needed a new headset and I decided on the X12s for the price and they didn't have the Logitech headphones I wanted in stock. I was having second thoughts but once I tried them I was blown away from the sound. There is a bass boost control that works pretty good but then there is "game" sound. That adds an amazing amount of volume to your current output that I needed to turn down my windows volume settings to 10. It looks good enough and the flexible mic is very handy. 9/10 or 4.5 stars.

the box stated that it had a USB connection which was what I needed ... but in fact it had USB & headphone jack as well ... needed all 3 plugged in in order for it to work .... i returned it!

I was using the Xbox wireless mic before I decided to buy these. These are great for the price. Of course there are better but for the price these are amazing. I use this to play competitive sniping on Mw3 and Mw2 and they work perfectly. I can play all night without disturbing anyone in the house. The bass is amazing too.

I usualy dont review items that I buy. I'm the type of person that return items to the store if the item is not good enough. I like quality and I don't mind paying for quality in general. When it come to headphones Im picky. I always look for Sound Quality. Comfort is a must for me. I own Beats Studios and Bose headphones and I consider the comfort to be a big advantage for the Bose and a disadvantage for the Beats. If I could describe this headphones I will say that for 45 dollars you can't go wrong. I find the comfort to be acceptable in my opinion. I can spend 2-3 hours with this headphones no problem. The sound quality for gaming purporses is excellent. Adjustable Bass and volume makes this headphones easy to use and adjust. I use them to play on PC so the long cables is something I'm use to deal with ,but a tight rap will do the magic here. For 45 bucks I don't thing I could find better headphones any ware. I don't see the need for retuning an item that satisfy my needs as a gamer.

Sound great and comfortable. Problem is when my daughter puts them on, she can't hear us. :-)) The only issue is to connect them you have to work some magic or buy a splitter cable as it does not tell you this when you purchase SO BEWARE to make sure you have this connector of you will be disappointed when you go to connect them.

I just found the replacement for my X1's which I've had for years. I tried the X11's and even with the DSS added I could not get the right sound in bass to match the X1's plus DSS. Now the Turtle Beach X12's have arrived. I played a video from my file share in COD Black Ops. until I found the right bass sound & volume on the X12's and DSS. If you don't have a headset this is choice. Very affordable (the price of a game), the new color sceme & Turtle Beach tree printed on the inner speakers is a nice look and super lightweight. Built for long hours of gaming. No matter what game you play this headset will give you a new aspect on the game, add a DSS and forget the outside world. This headset allows you to hear yourself so you are not screaming late at night. Hear everything, PLAY 2 WIN!
