Have you ever played a FPS (COD/Halo) and you're running, turn a corner and a guy is standing there looking at you? Or you play against somebody and you just couldnt get near them and are wondering how they knew you were there? He has a headset and knew you were coming and exactly where you were coming from. I purchased this headset for the sole purpose of improving my FPS gaming skillzzzz (or lack thereof). Did it work? Yes. Case in point: I'm standing in one spot, just listening. I hear somebody coming from my left, I look to my left. If its a team mate, hes safe. If its a bad guy, hes dead. I'm ready and waiting for him because I could hear him coming (from a long ways off too). I can tell where people are shooting from and whats happening around me. And this is just with the stereo headset, no DSS! The sound is great and clear. Treble isn't the greatest but its still fine. My only complaint is interference with game chat whenever I have the controller plugged into the USB port (xbox 360). There is a nasty hissing sound that ticks people off. Solution: Just keep fresh batteries in the controller. Overall, its been a great purchase and I'm busy converting people to Turtle Beach. My sister gamed on my headset and fell in love with it and bought one. I now get at least 3 kills MORE per game specifically because I have a headset and can hear the enemy. And ono top of that, it just immerses you in the game so much more. You hear all sorts of ambient sounds you never knew existed. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

I have been through several headset from tritons to rocket fish and none of hem compare to the x12 I mean the sound quality on them are amazing and the bass on them is the best part the only bad thing about them is the actual headphones depth cause I have some what big ears and so the x12 aren't really all that deep so my ear will be rubing and the speakers and cause me a little discomfort.

I picked this headset up for xmas of 2011 and I asked around about the TB brand from friends online and had a mix of good and bad feed backs. I took the risk of dropping $62 (not from bestbuy) and took them home to find out I was in love. I love that the x12 model has a bass control unlike the x11's. I first played Battlefield 3 with the headset and I couldnt help but laugh and smile when I blew stuff up or fired a gun. I also watched Tron with this headset and had my logitech z4 system playing to add more sound and bass and i loved it. Over all this is a great headset but I wish I could take this with me in the car on a trip or something for music BUT it is powered by USB so no go on that. Also almost hitting a year of having this headset the bass control tends to act up but not really a big deal for someone who doesnt turn the bass up and down. Over all this is a good headset and I also talked a couple people into getting this headset and they love it just as much as I do so give em a try. If you dont like them and you want your money back well hell just bring em back and try a new model or brand.

Great Quality for the money. Every gamer needs a headset for online and offline play. These are awesome for the price hands down.

I bought four of these headsets for my sons to use with their pc's. We do not own an xbox that we would use them with. They have exceptional sound and mic convenience compared to others for much higher price. They are still going strong after several months where others one ear would break.

This is my first headset. I've used it for MW3 and Saints Row 3 so far, and it's great. I can mute my TV so I don't bother anyone else and the sound is excellent. My only critique would be that I wish the microphone could switch sides, but that's a feature that you have to step up to the more expensive models for. The sound is so much better for multiplayer games. It gives you a leg up in MW3. Granted, it won't make you a pro, but it will help some. You hear things that you miss through regular TV speakers. One other thing, it's simple to hook up, and there are several ways to hook it up. If you have a fairly modern TV (2007+) you shouldn't have any problems at all.

Great buy! I got this around a year ago and it as been though ALOT! Pros: Comfy on ears Great sound mic quality basic wires Once you find out how to use its awesome! Cons: If you have it tight on your head for like 3 hours it starts to hurt your ears Lots of setting up and wires(They may be basic but there are alot)

This is a solid low-end headset that gets the job done well for what you need it for: gaming. The sound quality is good, the volume (both ways) is adequate, and the comfort/fit is fine. Not gonna compete with the higher end sets but at this price, you can't beat it.

Love to wear them during gaming. I even forget they are on while playing.

I got these on the daily deal. Good price. I've been wanting a pair of these for a long time. I play online a lot, and have been using the headset that came with the Xbox. So these are a good upgrade. Not the most expensive ones, but a good pair for the price. Would recommend these to anyone.

This is the best headset i have had! My first game using them I went 30 and 18. Much better than the x11. Also the work well as headphones on a laptop! They sound about as good as a upgraded stereo. Also can be used on websites like tinychat! Go get em they are great!

it was my best headset ever bought, i actually used it with my imac great sound quality, after a little bit of use it feels really warm on my ears and very tight it hurts my head that it bothers me a lot, after 10 months of use on side had little cracks in it all in one spot where the pressure is while spreading both side to wear it. eventually it came apart broken, but turtle beach replaced it for me with brand new in few days.

My son loves this for his Xbox 360. He is able to hear his friends clearly. He says the comfort is great, because it doesn't rub on your ears and face. Sound is clear and the base boost is awesome (my son's words).

These headphones sound excellent! You can control the bass, chat volume, and the game volumes! You can also connect these to your computer.....movies and music sound awesome! Best headphones out for the money!

I've used this headset for almost a year and a half. I also have been using this headset daily. It does an okay job on noise canceling and the mic is great. However, I noticed cracks in the plastic from some of the stress points caused from my big head and a couple times where it fell from off the desk. So now it's being held together by super glue. So if you are a casual user and know for sure that you can be careful with it, this maybe the headset for you.

This headset is comfortable, easy to wear for long sessions. The sound is great, When I first put them on it was almost like playing my games for the first time. Also works on my laptop.

These are a great pair of headsets, I fully recommend these to anyone who is looking for a quality headset and does not want to spend hundreds of dollars on a more expensive one, this headset is great for sound you can clearly hear enemies sneaking up on you in FPS, I feel that I will be using these for a long time before looking for another one, one tip I have is to do not use rechargeable batteries when your mic is plugged in to chat, because everyone once in a while it will produce this high pitch ringing sound that your friends will be constantly annoyed with, so I would suggest either using a wired controller or just some plain batteries.

The Sound is good and these headphones are comfortable but after only two months the ear piece broke off at the plastic swivel. Returned them and bought something else.

I was wanting a new headset for some time. I wanted one for my Xbox 360 and for my computer. These were the best choice for $60. They will work on computers just fine. They will also work on your Xbox 360 if you have the sd cable to hook up the audio to. If you don't have that cable you can hook them up through a headphone jack on your tv if you have one (this is how i use it) I love how long the cable is (about 14 feet). The sound quality is great. The only thing I don't like about them is that they don't have an on off switch for the microphone monitoring. Sometimes its annoying but im getting use to it.
