they added a bass boost unlike the old x11 wich makes this headset even better grate sound a must have for a hardcore gamer im hoping to get xp400 soon

The sound is okay usually, but this is the second pair I have purchased. The first set the cord broke just below the volume and mute switch. I took it back and exchanged it for the same headset, but I will probably go with the Razer Carcharias next time. Both sets had feedback *sometimes* when used with the computer. It was more like the audio input was bleeding back through the mic. It also has a lot of static depending on which computer I plug into. I have seen forums suggesting they are not grounded very well.

This is a great product. I've had mine for going on two years. its perfect for Xbox and PC gaming. Only problem is the cord. i like that its nice and long, but its a bit too long. I understand most people are quite a distance away from the T.V while playing, but I'm one of those people that likes to be up close. So the long cord gets in the way often, but I've found plenty easy, fast, and effective fixes for this. Love it.

I bought these for my kids for Christmas & they love them. One uses it for the computer & the other uses it to play with friends on his XBox 360. The nice thing about it is I don't have to listen to everybody's conversations & loud sounds coming from the game when they play. As I stated earlier, it can be used for the XBOX & Computer- which is nice. He seems to be satisfied with this headset, so no complaints here.

I got these headphones for Halo 4 and any other game I might play and they are amazing! The sound quality and surround sound was a lot better than I thought it was going to be for $60. The two downsides to this are the cables and the ear piece depth. If you can overlook connecting cables to your TV or computer than it won't matter at all. The wall inside the ear pieces however get kind of painful after an hour or two of gameplay; After some time though you will get used to it.

Like the title says this headset is good for the xbox but do not purchase for computer use. When connected to a computer there is a constant "digital" feedback that is very annoying. Despite all attempts to fix it, including driver updates for the sound card and trying every combination of computer connection possible, the feedback never goes away. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money to get the Turtle Beach PX 22!!

My son loves them! Works great with xbox. They are comfortable on his ears and does good blocking out noise.

Earlier today I went to my local Best Buy and picked on of these up. The first thing I noticed was the comfort and the almost 100% sound blocking design, it was well made in that respect, I have noticed that all turtle beach headsets seem slightly expensive, but so far as I have seen ( Have bought 3 TB headsets so far) they are worth the price. Thus meaning whether you are a PC Gamer or an Xbox gamer this headset should appeal to you.

You will not find a better headset in this price range... bar none. The sound is amazing. The only possible downfall is all the cords needed to make it all work, however, you never have to worry about interference or batteries, and that's a huge plus. I had a set of Tritton 720+ and could not stand the constant hum form them. These are perfect. And if you want surround sound, look at the DX12 model... same headset with DSS2.

I bought this for my brother since his old headset broke. He really likes it, just wish it was wireless. Still works great and is a good value for the price!

For $60, it's already a great value for what you get, but this headset usually gets discount pretty often so getting it cheaper will give you a more reason to pick this up if you need a cheap headset. I've use this for hours during sessions and it hurt's around the ear but just like breathing, take a break and it should be alright.

These headphones make for an outstanding videogame session as it will get you into the zone much easier and a lot of background noise is very quiet or not even there during peak game moments. The only problem I found with it was that I had to move the audio output device of my xbox so I could work with the headphones, also why is there a USB thing on the headphones? I rate these headphones A++++++

This is my second pair of turtle beaches and I should have learned from my first mistake. Every time these just wear out and the plastic above the ears eventually cracks a little and gets worse over time until it finally snaps. For 29.99 these maybe worth it just know they are a very temporary solution. If you don't mind constantly gluing or taping up your head phones then these might not be bad for you, the sound and mic quality actually aren't terrible . But if your a normal adult who doesn't wanna wear a cheap piece of plastic while gaming then research something else. Literally anything else

I have used these for gaming and also watching tv! I like that you can also use them for pc gaming!

After 6 months the headband developed stress fracture near the speaker on one side and later separated completely from the speaker. This was repaired using fiberglass however a crack developed a few months later on the other side of the headband near the other speaker. The material thickness is not suitable at headband/speaker interface. This is a systemic flaw in the design that's present in many turtle beach headset models.
