Awesome product, that I wish I had purchased sooner! Great addition to the gaming experience. With this headset you can hear things that you weren't aware of before. It definitely gives you a competitive edge as mentioned in other reviews. I'm telling all of my gaming buddies about this headset!

On May 30th, 2012 I purchased the Turtle Beach X12s I was thrilled to finally get a legit gaming headset, a few months down the road the massive amount of wires began to tangle within itself to the point where wires would become exposed because it was being stretched so much, when I originally purchased the headset i made sure to get the 2 year warranty that was offered to me. On January 26th 2013 I finally had enough of the headset wires coiling and stretching and getting tangled and figured why not put my 2 year warranty to use, the customer service rep spoke on the phone with someone who said i wasnt covered under the warranty because it was my own fault the wires got like that, however i own countless devices in my house all with wires etc and nothing ive ever owned has ever done that, I'm absolutely livid with best buy at this point absolute disrespect when you offer a 2 year warranty for a product its expected that the warranty will be honored. Any major purchases will no longer be made through best buy from here on out.

Headset is really nice for the price. Headphones are really good/clear sounding even with the bass all the way up, and the mic is really clear too! Overall they're a great pair and if you're looking for a cheap, great sounding headset, then these are the ones for you! :-)

I bought these to replace my X11's that were being held together by ductape. These are a huge upgrade in sound. I use it for PC gaming and it has great sound for music, games, and anything else! Best headset you will find for $60

This is a great headset. I'm an avid Call of Duty: Black Ops player and the ability to turn the chat down and the game volume up is great. I can hear the footsteps of my opponents much better and it gives me a great advantage. I would recommmend this buy for any COD player!

I have finally bought the headset for my new xbox but when it got here I couldn't believe how many cables it has. I am not used to having a headset with even more than 1 cable. This one even needs me to buy another piece(an adapter) to be able to hear the game on my headset. You get one cable that goes to your controller, one that goes to your xbox usb port, another 2 that need to go to the adapter you plug in the back, and the adapter you need to separately buy. I was not very happy with all this discomfort, and it also feels like it's about to fall when i tilt my head. The only good thing would be the quality of sound, it's not too bad.

I have had this headset for a long while now and I have to say it is the best one I have used. I can wear them for hours and not have any issue with comfort like I have with previous headsets. I use it for xbox, ps3 (through my receiver with an adapter), and PC.

I've had mine for about a year now have never had a problem with them. People say they break easily but they don't it just depends how you take care of them. Over all if they did break on me I would buy them again since I have the DSS2 adapter.

I have read alot of post bashing the Turtle Beaches and from what I can tell is mostly user error. These headsets do exactly what they say they going to do. It is "stereo" sound and it gives you a much cleaner sound then you would get from your tv speakers. If your getting mic feed back turn off the mic. If you want sorround sound pay for the higher end turtle beaches. These are meant to be rugged, so yes they will break if you are throwing them around or pulling on the cord (which moste real gamres would do). The downside to it is that you need to buy and adapter for it for the 360. I am a gamer and work weare they sell all tyoes of different gamer headsets and would definitely recommend these

These were a gift for my son and he games with them and has told me he can hear even the slightest sound. Impressive at blocking out background noise and is very helpful for the gamer who listens to all sounds for the best gaming.

I've had this product for about a month now, and I would definitely recommend it to others. While it is a wired headset, the quality of sound that you get is very good, and I have not had any negative experiences with it at all.

I absolutely love these. They make the gaming experience that much better! Only thing I wish is that I would have bought the wireless headset but that's my fault. They still sound amazing even if you have to deal with the wires.

I got them last Saturday and have used them a lot since then and all I can say is how did I play my 360 for the last 4 years with out them. I have only used them on MW3 but am I impressed.

Turtle beach is a prominent player in the headset industry for a reason - they make good stuff. This is a good piece of equipment for the price, do recommend.

These will change the way you look at video games, the games sound the way the creators intend for you to hear them. I wish I would have purchased these long ago. im a fan of these for sure.

Picked this up for my son so he can play with his friends online. Love the design and the functionality. Also we both use it and it adjusts to fit each of us without any problems or discomfort!

I was going to get the X11 because i knew he had one and then i saw one right under it, so i bought it, i think it was awesome and my friend got so jelous, he even tried to look up an x12

The end of the headset cord has 3 parts- standard headphone, standard microphone, and USB. No sound unless all 3 are plugged into PC. If you plug just the headphone lead into something, there's no sound. If you plug the headphone lead into something and the USB into a power source (2.1 amp charger in my case), there's no sound. I wanted to be able to plug the headphone lead into the headphone jack on my speakers, but there's no sound when I do that, so back to the store it goes.

I bought these about a month ago now, and i still think the sound quality is magnificent. This headset can be used for both the xbox360 and pc gaming, which is fantastic for me because i do both. The first time i bought them though, all of the pieces were not in the box, and some people are also having this problem. But you can just take them back and they will give you a new package at no extra price. You really can beat the quality this headset gives you for the price, especially listening to music, the bass boost makes listening to music insane. The only gripe i have is that if you tilt your head it feels like the headset is going to fall off.
