They are EXTREMELY uncomfortable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They have amazing sound quality and the mic is very nice as well, HOWEVER they are SO uncomfortable. I would wear these for about 2 minutes and i would get a headache, then after about a half-hour the pressure from the headset started to give me a tooth-ache in the back of my mouth. They are nice for someone who wants to play a game for 2 minutes without pain. The pain got worse and worse until i had to return them. VERY disappointed in Turtle Beach.

If you have a large head! BEWARE!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sound with bass boost really enhances audio. The build quality is good. My grip is that this headset @ this price isn't friendly for those with large heads. Now you can easily tilt the headband back, but why??

Garbage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this on sale and will be quickly returning. Just for some background - I have returned maybe 5 items in my entire life (30 years old). This thing is horribly designed and the performance is absolute garbage. a) Constant and irritatingly noticeable hum from 'chat' channel even if the mic is off. Increases as the volume is raised but even at low to moderate listening levels the humming sound is unbearable for me. b) With the mic on, the hum increases substantially. Granted, I am using it in my bedroom near a gaming desktop that produces plenty of noise, but I have used somewhere around 15 different headsets in a similar environment and never had this problem. This problem is directly related to point C.. c) The constant playback of ones own mic when turned on should not be a mandatory feature. Feedback from background noises increases noise disturbances at all times if you leave your mic active (which most people do for online play) and there is severe lag/echoing when speaking so it basically NEVER performs up to a reasonable level. d) If you have HDMI, the game channel does not work without 3rd party peripherals (or an audio out on your TV.. something that is extremely rare for a TV that has HDMI). This is not mentioned or even implied in the product description. e) Bulky. I felt like I had a moderately comfortable set of cans on my head with a brick hanging off. They show you the in-line controls in the picture but what they don't show you is the mess of wires, especially the 'Hoarders' level clutter it becomes once you plugin the controller adapter. The only positives I have for it are the aesthetics (I'm a sucker for black + lime green) and they do manage to attain an average level of comfort on the ears that one should expect from cans in the same price range. Run far, run fast.

Why did I wait..
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With a top line T.V. and 3-D blueray surround, you don't need the HDMI adapter. Don't know why I was sweating 20 bucks or jailbreak, anyway. The cords were a concern with my new kittens... but they hate lime juice. Just rub a little on the cords. Oh, and my girl says they sound GREAT..

Kids love them
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought two of these for by sons and they love them. Hard to justify the cost at regular price, but Black Friday sale made the decision to by this product (two of them) an easy one. Wait for sales before buying.

Kudos for mom!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Surprised my 18 year old son with this for Christmas. I got a high-five right off the bat and 2 weeks later he still says the headphones are "freaking awesome". Can't imagine the more expensive sets being any better, he says.

Decent Headset for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been purchasing and trying numerous headsets and this was one of the first I purchased. I must say that overall this product is tedious to hook-up if you have a home theater set-up that involves mounted TV's and wires running behind your walls. In addition the sound quality is meh compared to the PX5, Tritton 720+, XP500, or Call of Duty Tango editions. Granted all those previously mentioned headsets are considerably more money but the different is so noticeable I strongly recommend them.

Great for my gaming set up
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Over all its a really good product. I don't like how the cords tangle a lot but I can live with-it. I recommended this to 2 of my friends and they both bought it so it really good.

Needs $20 adapter to work with hdmi, poor audio...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The packaging looked great, the price was right but everything else fell short. First, the product seemed extremely flimsy and cheap. Second, I had to go back to Best Buy and buy a $20 adapter to make the headset work with my xbox because I use HDMI. Now I had invested $80 into the product and was finally able to fire them up. The audio was very poor, the high end frequency was painful to my ears at louder volumes and the bass was extremely week. i thought it was defect so I returned for another unit but it was the same. Surprisingly the headset was comfortable but the audio quality did not justify the price. I returned the product for a second time for the Tritton Detonator which equates to the same price and sound far better.

Waste of time & money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am returning my son's third pair of Turtle Beach headphones. I have tried two different ones & both have had the same problem. The first pair was the most expensive & they didn't last 3 months. The second pair did last longer but eventually had the same problem. This set last again maybe 3 months. The problem is always the same. Mic no longer works & one ear always goes out. Thank goodness for being a reward customer because this time when I return I will use my return funds to get a new brand of headset. The last Geek Squad guy recommended Triton & that's what I will be buying next.
