Definitely a must have for use with any wired headset. Makes them sound so much better in my opinion. Well worth the try.

Finally had to replace my old one I got almost 5 years ago. Was hesitant about purchasing but the new ones are working just fine. Although the mute button blinks which is the only draw back since I like to look down sometimes and I think it’s off. Overall a good replacement.

Great item, helps the headphones sound better on Xbox and allows for more control over game chat and game audio.

This is the best way to monitor and control the mic. It’s convenient and doesn’t get in the way. I even use it over some of the control centers that some of the more expensive mics come from. Give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Because, for some reason, our headphones stopped working when plugged directly into the Xbox controller (for the second time!), we decided to by this adaptor (for the second time!!) it was half the price of a new controller, and actually, the sound seemed better and we had more control of it. Works great!

Perfect for wired headsets that only have volume and mute. It can adjust the volume and mix between party and game volume easily without having to go into and menus.

Son bought this adapter in order to utilize the HyperX - Cloud II Pro Wired Gaming Headset with his Xbox. It is similar to the Mircosoft one but about $20 cheaper and does the same thing. He hasn't had any issues with it and is enjoying it with the new headset.

Bought this to preset sound controls on my Xbox One. Without it I was having to reset my settings every time I played. Love that it keeps things the way I want them. It plugs into my controller and my headset plugs into the audio port. Works great and was rathe inexpensive.

old one gave out. great direct replacement for gaming headphones.

Bought this initially because I didn't know how game chat vs party chat could be manipulated on XboxOne. Then, I had a controller with a faulty Aux port, and by using this I bypassed that problem. My favorite part about this thing is the ease of muting your mic.

This worked worked great for my old PS3/PC headphones. Sad you have to buy additional equipment to do this but at least Microsoft didn't get additional money from me to resolve this challenge.

...with the Xbox One controller. Connects well and does not cause issues a month after purchasing. Solved the issue I had with my headset mic (my headset is NOT Turtle Beach). Price I paid was much better than anything else I found online. Delivery was quick and painless.

Even though you don't need this for your headphones, you need this for your headphones. This came with an older pair of Turtle Beach headphones that I had. So when I bought a new pair I saw that they didn't have this audio controller with them. It does make a difference with the sound and features.

Went from the Microsoft version to this and couldn’t recommend it more. Being able to shift between game and chat audio levels as well as the audio boost are game changers! Audio and mic presets take a while to memorize but other than that it’s plug and play simple.

must have on xbox if you have wired mic with 3.5 mm jack. works great with call of duty makes enemies sound louder and clearer when nearby. i wish there were led indicators or sliding buttons to indicate what setting some are in. you'll understand once you use

Needed something for cloud 2 volume control when hooked up to X BOX ONE since there are none when not using the usb dongle. Forts thought was kinda Spendy but some of the features are nice for tweaking game sounds to you personal likings

If you have an older controller or something is loose in your controllers 3.5 mm port then this is a great adapter. I love having the volume controls right there with me and while the “super sound” boost is ok it doesn’t make a real difference for me.

This product is exactly what we needed for the headset to be used properly with an Xbox One S . It's a little sad that it isn't included with the headset, or that you don't know you need this item when you purchase a headset (for us parents who aren't totally in the know).
