If you have an older controller or something is loose in your controllers 3.5 mm port then this is a great adapter. I love having the volume controls right there with me and while the “super sound” boost is ok it doesn’t make a real difference for me.

Solid purchase and is long lasting. I got this in 2018 and it still works perfectly. It works better than just using the 3.5mm jack in the new controllers. Better way to crossfade between party chat and game sound. Would recommend regardless of the controller.

Works really well for online multiplayer where you need to parse out voice vs game audio. Wish they made an equivalent for wireless headsets. It works with any headset that uses a 3.5mm jack, by the way.

This product is exactly what we needed for the headset to be used properly with an Xbox One S . It's a little sad that it isn't included with the headset, or that you don't know you need this item when you purchase a headset (for us parents who aren't totally in the know).

Works great, much better than just using the onboard plug in the controller. Great sound quality and you can control chat and game from the adapter instead of having to go into setting on the console.

My biggest gripe with Xbox controllers that have the headphone jack is that they’re notorious for breaking down—I’ve gone through two controller myself and a simple google search reveals that this is a widespread QA issue. The turtle beach adapter negates this issue by utilizing the port on the controller rather than the jack. The result is consistent audio with less “crackling” sound then experienced using the native controller input and a guarantee that the jack will not fail. I don’t bother with any of the DSP as I prefer the audio to play as intended without any fluff. TBH, it’s pretty pathetic that I have to purchase such a thing so to the inevitable failing of Microsoft’s controller, but it’s a necessary evil that has alleviated my audio problems and need to purchase new controllers.

I’m upgrading from the original Microsoft adapter. Wow what a huge difference in audio levels. Louder and clearer. The mic and game presets are awesome. Superhuman hearing also a huge helps. Sounds great with my astro a40s.

Love this device although I hate that xbox had to add a accessory to make money and they over the headphones with this for $10 more so for price wise not sure it's worth it when you can buy the Xbox one for $10 more.

This device works really well but it is way overpriced and it's the only one available so it's your only option so I didn't like that about it but it is good quality

We bought this little gem to replace an earlier model that finally started to go south after many years of use. Took two seconds to plug it in and voila, no more crackling...just crystal clear sound! Highly recommended!

I got this to use with my HyperX Cloud II headset because that headset does not include any volume control. All the functions on this controller seem to work with the HyperX.

It is very nice being able to plug in your own wired headset and adjust chat volume separately from game sound volume. Highly recommended I'll be recommended. Good fitment.

This helped do what the controller couldn’t do. Needed to be able to adjust the chat volume and through the game and Xbox it would adjust a little. This helped make more adjustments and makes the chat sound come through more.

Exactly what I was looking for, but it was a bit over priced.
