I'd recommend this. My 10 yr nephew loved his extra give add on and now use his headset with even older xbox 1s controllers.

Cool add on to a controller. I tested the superman hearing feature with non-turtle headsets and they worked fine. Basically just a mixer for any headset. Very useful but I think they cost double what they are worth and it's kinda bulky on the controller. But they are cool. I bought these to allow the mic to work on my Razer Nari Ultimates but it did not correct the problem.

Fine adapter if you need one

This adapter works well to pair an original (first production) Xbox One wireless controller with a headset using a 3.5 mm connector. It was a bit touchy in establishing the proper connection until I reseated the adapter twice, but since then it has worked fine. Note that the power drain on the controller batteries is substantial, and I would say I have to swap batteries about four times as often when using the adapter than when no headset is attached.

    Supersonic hearing included

Easy to connect to your xbox controller. Read the directions for the sound presets and microphone presets. The supersonic hearing is definitely noticeable when activated and makes the mid range frequencies clearer. Well worth the money for this amp/audio controller. Word to the wise...if you do not have rechargeable battery packs for for controller, get some. With everything going on, you will be going thru controller batteries faster than usual. Rechargeable packs from microsoft work great Another great product from Turtle Beach.

Great alternate to the Microsoft version

Overall, this device is decent. It does have a rubbery feel and grip when toggling to the different presets and settings. It is a lot easier to use than Microsoft's version. I like how they implemented different presets to adjust in game bass, treble, and tone. I just wished it had more bass to it as I like the booming sound. When paired with the right headphones, these are a must have. I'm giving it 4 stars because it does have it's flaws. Once in awhile it does cut out, and I'm not sure why.

    Good headset adapter

I got it to replace my Microsoft brand headset adapter that finally went out after all these years thinking the superhuman hearing might be a cool feature and some of the other features on the turtle Beach one would be a step up. Sound quality is pretty good but let me just say the superhuman hearing mode may work for some games but I haven't found the games that it works in yet, it just makes everything seem kind of weird and muffled even people talking through party chat sound weird when superhuman hearing is on so I just never turn it on. The microphone monitoring is a really nice feature and you can adjust it between the low and high microphone monitoring and the game preset on the bottom allows you to get extra bass, voice dialogue boost ,treble boost etc. The mic preset allows you to kind of cut out your background noise so the microphone doesn't pick it up as easily. Overall it's a really nice headset adapter that gives you control of your volume and game chat mix/ mute button easily accessible at the bottom of your controller with all the extra presets to fine-tune your game sound to your liking. Now the big test for it is to see how long it will hold up I've not had the best luck with turtle Beach headsets in the past lasting more than a year with normal not even daily use and being very kind with them and still short out or end up crackling, so if it lasts longer than the headsets I've had by turtle Beach then I I would say definitely worth the money.

While I think the price is a bit steep for what it is, it’s met all my expectations. My Xbox brand headset controller died after a few years and this was all I could find in stock so I figured I’d give it a try. The controls are exactly the same as the Xbox brand and it even has a few extra features. I really like the “super hearing” button as I play a lot of shooters and it’s great to hear those footsteps a little clearer.

This adapter worked very well for my HyperX Cloud 2’s. I loved having the controls at my fingers like the original Xbox headsets provide. I would give it 5 stars but it didn’t add much besides convenient controls that I noticed. I loved the superhuman hearing for those scenarios where I needed to hear footsteps around me but it sounded so much like an old AM radio that I couldn’t keep it on longer than for just those situations. I used superhuman hearing in PUBG and it worked really well, same with Warzone. Overall, this adapter really helped ease of controls and give me a slight advantage with the superhuman hearing, but the other equalizers didn’t seem to offer much so I ended up staying in the default.

On the fly volume control + mic noise suppression

This is a really good item to have if you play a bunch on Xbox. It is a lot easier to mix and raise/lower the volume of game & chat with this then having to dive into the Xbox settings. Especially mid game! This adapter also offers background noise suppression level for your mic so you aren't getting fan noise or kids etc. picking up in your mic. The different sound settings are more gimmicky than useable in my opinion. Especially the 'Foot Step' option. Yeah you can hear steps a but better but, at the sacrifice of your overall audio quality. While I feel this is a must have it is also VERY expensive imo for what it is. It does go on sale from time to time.

Outside of it being kind of lame it isn’t included with the headset being that it is required for use, it works well. It’s nice having the volume/mute buttons easily accessible if you’re wanting to talk to someone in the room without having to take the headset off.

Bought this because we needed another audio adapter. Has option to hear louder. Works good for Call of Duty to hear footsteps better. Also has the mic feedback but I think it should have more settings than just the 3. Still works good. Price is the main problem.

If you want to use a headset with a XBOX one controller, you need this adapter. I guess that's why it's so expensive. The quality is good and easy to use. There's not many options out there and Turtle Beach makes solid products.

I purchased the RAZR Kraken X on sale for $30 which are definitely more comfortable that some of the other brands but didn't have that much in a bass sound. After reading reviews on this audio controller I decided to purchase it and give it a try and am I glad I did. the independent game/chat/and volume controls on the controller are def easier to access versus reaching up to the headset and the sound afterwards is undeniably better! Would definitely recommend this to anyone who ask, only issue is it feels cheaply made and I am sure I will be purchasing another in about a year if my headset last that long as well.

This adapter was a great way to use my wired sennheiser headphones rather than paying for a third party or microsoft branded headset. It has great volume controls with several modes to tune the sound to your liking and also includes a microphone on / mute button. I'd give it four stars because it seems like durability may be an issue in the future, but time will tell.

Handy Voice and Game Audio Control

This is a very useful (but not required) dongle for headset audio control. Most Xbox controllers have an 1/8 inch input for headphones, so this product isn't a requirement for using headphones. However, this makes the experience a lot better as it has volume control and voice chat/game audio mixing control right on the device.

Pretty good product I use my beats with this works cool, but does lose connection sometimes. Not a big deal I just turn the controller off then back on always fixes it. I've had about 1 month and a half dropped it a couple times still fine. Great for the price I always go with the whole " you get what you paid for" quote so I wasn't expecting something fancy.
