I had the gen 1 for about a year and these gen 2 are a bigger improvement. Has amazing sound quality for the price and a very amazing mic. I recommend this product if you are looking for a headset less then $100

These seem better quality construction and nicer ear pads. Sound is great. Hoping they'll last and exceed expectations.
