He used it primarily for a Nintendo Switch and his tablet. After about 3 months, they lost sound. I took apart the ear pieces and found that the sodder points were barely attached. I re-soddered the wires and it worked well. Mic stopped working after 6 months of moderate use. I opened up the mic and could not find any obvious issues.
