Too Fragile for a Youngster

My son uses them often, but doesn't throw things around. Still, the microphone does not work. This is his 3rd set--each one had a protection plan, but you have to rebuy the protection plan for each subsequent headphone replacement. Maybe cheaper than buying a new one, but I'd like to see the quality and durability improve on this product. Not recommended for kids that use it a lot.
