I was always faithful to the "OEM" wireless headset for my devices - But with Switch and PC, such a thing doesnt exist from Microsoft or Nintendo, so I needed a headset that would work across those platforms to give me excellent chat and audio performance, but also last through long gaming sessions. I also didnt want a headset that looked like a colorful, gaudy helecopter pilot rig. I dont game to show off flashy lights and bright colored accessories (Even my Switch uses the gray joy-cons!) This Turtle Beach headset checks all of my boxes. Smooth, simple, understated (dare I say professional) industrial design, VERY comfortable mesh cushions, and a simple boom mic that wont bend or break easily, and tucks away when I just want to use them as nice wireless headphones. The comfort level is on-par with other over-ear headsets, but these seem to pinch my head a little less than competing models. Then there's the battery life - I cant kill these things! I usuall charge them at night, but forgot not once, but for THREE STRAIGHT DAYS and they still worked perfectly for all of my game and music uses across two forgotten charging nights. These really have incredible battery life! Charging is USB Type C, which is table stakes at this point, but the "dongle" it comes with is still USB-A, which is fine for SOME PCs, but I'd appreciate them at least offering an adapter or a SKU that gives you a Type-C dongle instead for mobile use - My "gaming PC" is a Dell XPS with nary a USB-A port in sight, so I've been getting by on Bluetooth and using a USB adapter to try the native wireless connection. Also, considering how smart the rest of this thing is with stowage and storage, having a place for that little USB A adapter to go inside the headset when not used (for Switch or mobile) would have been amazing. All in all this will be my reccomendation for a GREAT headset at a GOOD price for anyone looking!

My son uses this Turtle Beach Steath 600 headset for gaming and it has everything he needs for his gaming on his PS5. For under $100, this wireless headset is a good choice. Look-wise, it's not bulky or flashy/ It's looks more like regulare headphones than a gamer headset, which is nice for someone a little older. They are comfortable enough for him to wear for hours on end. The sound quality is great. He can hear everything in his games clearly, especially footsteps and other little sounds that help in specific games. There is a setting for "Superhuman Hearing" that makes sounds even louder, which gives an advantage. In the Swarm II app you can toggle between three different levels of the Superhuman hearing. The microphone is one of the things my son likes best. It flips up to mute, which he likes when I walk. There is a setting in Swarm II app to get rid of even more background noise, which is even more helpful when the dogs bark. The battery life is great - it says it lasts 80 hours and so far it seems to be true. Overall, I think the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 is a great option for games on a budget. It is for multiple gamiing platforms, has great sound quality, and it comfortable!

This headset is a good entry level headset for Xbox or PC use. It is not the lightest but does fit comfortably. Charge time is reasonable, and it connected easily via Bluetooth. There is an optional application, but the features are limited in scope other than updating the firmware. It fits well but can start to feel a little comfortable during long gaming sessions. This is due in part to the heavy and thick headband. The earmuffs fit me well and sound quality was good. The mic works well also, and the boom can easily be flipped out or folded in and completely hidden. I was able to hear teammates, and be heard, with no issues. The mic is not flexible and can feel a little awkward at first. It sticks away from you more than I'm used to, but it seems to pick up Ok. The buttons can a be a little trickly at first to find the power and volume button. Once you spend quite a bit of time with using, it becomes easier but not perfect. If the software had more customization, it would be a good first choice but there are other headsets with more features at the same or lower price point. Overall, it is a good everyday use headset.

This headset is an excellent choice for PC, PS5, and Switch gaming. I appreciate the convenient flip-to-mute microphone boom, which neatly folds away when not in use. The LED indicators are bright and easy to read, with clear colors for charging and mute status. While the headset feels slightly weighty and snug, this design ensures a secure fit during intense gameplay. Although I haven’t personally tested the 80-hour battery life, it seems to align with my experience of only needing to charge them once a week during daily play sessions. The included USB adapter provides the best latency performance, likely due to routing the audio signal via RF rather than Bluetooth. Overall, the build quality is solid, and the unboxing experience lives up to high-end expectations. The ear cups, made from a breathable synthetic material, offer comfort without sacrificing durability. Notably, the heavy-duty headband design appears to address a common failure point found in other headphones. I recommend these for gaming use and where you may need low latency audio.

The most important requirement for me when buying any over-ear headphones is that the pads have to be velour or mesh - something breathable - because less-porous materials like plastic or (fake) leather make my ears uncomfortable. Therefore, when choosing between different models of headphones/headsets, I’m already behind the eight ball due to over half of the available selections being eliminated right off the bat. I ordered these due to the *clearly identifiable* fabric pads from the pictures. Upon opening them, I wasn’t disappointed. The material is cool to the touch, breathable, and the foam is very soft and squishy. Perhaps it’s low-density memory foam. The headphone plastic is standard issue and feels relatively durable. Included in the box is a USB dongle and a long USB-A to C cord. Another huge reason I ordered these was due to compatibility with both Xbox and PlayStation as well as Switch and PC. First thing I did was download the Swarm app via the QR code and update the firmware, as is strangely required by Turtle Beach. At first, I couldn’t make it work because it said “plug dongle into headset” but there was no way to do that because the transmitter is USB-A. I had to open my PC and plug it there, and the firmware update started right away. It took about six minutes. No idea why I had to do that except to power the dongle. Anyway, after it finished, I plugged the dongle into my PS5 and booted it up. The icon for a headset immediately popped up and settings showed mic and audio output as Gen 3 600 series headset. When I turned on the headset, I couldn’t get sound. As soon as I got up, I heard the voice inside the headset say “wireless mode” and PS5 audio started pumping in through the speakers. I booted Helldivers 2 and all the effects were excellent. Comfort was awesome, and everything was great. Then I sat back down in my favorite gaming chair and the sound went dark. It turns out, my PS5 is in my entertainment center near my main router and the headset won’t stay connected unless I’m really close by. I will order a USB extension cord to see if I can bring the dongle out of my entertainment center to an inconspicuous location where it won’t be subject to too much interference. If you don’t have your router near your PS5, this is an amazing headset. I won’t docket any stars because I believe it’s a normal interference issue; just one I’d like everyone to be aware of. This was my first attempt at trying out a wireless headset … I guess I need to stay with the wired version, at least for my downstairs gaming setup.

Solid Wireless Headset with Minor Annoyances

Gaming headsets come out all the time now and days, and it is hard to set them apart from each other. I was reulctant at first to get another gaming headset, but I was in need of something that was wireless, had great audio quality, great battery life, and long wearing comfort. Luckily, the Stealth 600 gaming headset seems to fit that bill! Bluetooth connectivity is the method I use to pair this headset, although, it does come with a wireless dongle if your PC does not have bluetooth enabled. It was confusing at first to set up the headset as it doesn't really come with clear instructions, and if you want to customize it, you need to download an iOS App which is... annoying. But after figuring out you have to press the "switch" button to switch modes to bluetooth, I was able to pair. Audio quality is quite good, I am pretty surprised by it to be honest. Most wireless headsets have quite weak drivers on them, they sound very thin and tinny. But these have a great well rounded sound to them, enough bass to satisfy me, and a great spatial sound awareness field. I do not think that the footstep/scout mode is useful at all, it makes the sound quality tank quite a bit, I always leave it off. One thing that annoys me to the worlds end about this headset is that after about ~5 minutes, it auto shuts off if it doesn't receive an audio signal. This is super frustrating while I am working and sometimes don't have sound on because I am browsing for something, in between games, in between videos etc. Because of it, the headset constantly turns off when I do not want it to, and it's quite a flaw.... The microphone works well, used in Discord, people said I sounded crystal clear, and I appreciate that the mic folds up into the headset when not in use. Great gaming headset for a casual gamer who wants to switch between gaming devices and use just one headset for all gaming needs.

Being a family of gamers, we have been able to try many many different type of headsets. Not only headsets that are wired but wireless as well. All of them had things we love and things we didn't. Surprisingly, the really expensive headsets I've used didn't really impress me much because at how much they were, it wasn't that much better than a moderately priced one. If it cost 3 times as much, I expect 3 times better everything. This brings me to the Turtle Beach 600, I think for what you pay for, you get a really good gaming headset that does everything well. Nothing exceptional, but everything well. The headset itself was light and comfortable on my head. The click for every adjustment when adjusting to the size of your head, I liked. My son wasn't a fan, but I felt that it was more precise and I was more confident that it would stay in place. The earpads where comfortable for long play time, the flip to mute on the mic is awesome, control buttons are all on the left side where the mic is and nothing on the left side, for me that is more intuitive. Like with most headsets, it takes a bit before knowing exactly where all the buttons are instinctively. Sounds was very good and mic was also very good. Have absolute no complaints from anyone. All in all, to me, this is a great moderate priced headset that does everything fine. Nothing that will blow anyone away or rave about. I definitely recommend this one.

This is a great gaming headset that works well with my PC when playing games online. When I opened the box, I charged it up fully first, then proceeded to pair it with my phone to make sure that it had the latest firmware, once completed, it was easy to connect and use the headset. This is a comfortable headset, the earpieces fit me very well and the headset folds up into a compact form for easy storage. There are a lot of controls on the left ear piece and none on the right earpiece. it seems to be a little bit crowded and it will take some time to memorize what each control does. I did find myself pushing the wrong button at times. It would have been nice if Turtle Beach had placed some of the controls on the right ear piece. The sound on this was excellent and I was truly immersed in the games that I was playing. The microphone is ok and can fold out of the way, but there is not much adjustment to get it closer to your mouth. While no one had any issues hearing me speak, I was asked to speak louder than I am used to. The USB C charging port is nice as that is the standard now for most devices. Overall, this is a great headset for gaming and listening to music.

This brand of headphones has had plenty of room for improvement on the overall design and this go around has not disappointed me. First talk about the field. These are the softest headphones I've had the pleasure of putting on my ears The overall comfort allows me to game for hours with no irritation or headaches afterwards. The functionality of the buttons are very user-friendly and tactile to my liking. There is even a little memory bump to guide me to the right buttons without having to look at them. Flip to mute mic functionality is a goat feature in any set of gaming headphones and I love that it's in these. Console connection is very solid. There's a dongle used to plug into the PC or Playstation and that allows for less lag in the connection. There's also a function in the headphones that you can switch over to Bluetooth for your other devices. Sound quality on both connection types send flawless and immersive audio. Overall these headphones are a solid purchase and I can't see me getting another pair for a while.

This is a good headset with good sound but the setup with Bluetooth was a bit difficult and took some time. But once I get past that, the sound was very good and microphone was crisp. Everyone could hear me on the other end just fine. The microphone itself is high quality and the fact it can fold up is a great touch. I found no interference in sound or microphone quality despite using many Bluetooth devices in the general vicinity of the headset. I did not try the 2.4 ghz RF adapter as I find that to be less reliable overall. I wish it came with a carrying case though, probably my main complaint. Overall, it's a really good headset that despite the issues setting it up. It also feels very comfortable even after wearing it for hours. It's also easily adjustable for different head sizes and the leather ear cups feel very comfortable and high end. I would recommend this headset to anyone looking for a good gaming headset that's perfect for long gaming sessions, listening to music, or even audiobooks.

Exceptional Sound - Affordable - But One Caveat

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

For me, the Turtle Beach - Stealth 600 Wireless Multiplatform Gaming Headset is a slightly mixed offering. First of all, ‘Multiplatform Gaming Headset’ is kind of a misnomer since it does not include compatibility with Xbox. That’s not unusual, but the ‘multiplatform’ label could be misleading to those who don’t look closer. However, the Stealth 600 provides superior sound for gaming. The spatial clarity and ability to draw ‘distant’ sounds within hearing-range is high-level. The ability to use the app to choose various settings as needed, further enhances the quality and options for excellent gaming sound. The sound offered is on par with gaming headsets which are much more expensive. The ability to have dual-connections is very useful. I used it with my PC gaming laptop and my iPhone. The connection with the PC was immediate as soon as I pugged the RF dongle in. The bluetooth connection was also straightforward and easy. The headphones fit tight, but comfortable. For me, it was just on the edge of being too tight for longer periods of use. The swing-down mic, and the fact that it automatically mutes when raised - and fits nicely back into a recessed position, is a feature I have always appreciated. The build is solid, though it feels just slightly heavier than others I’ve used. But not to an uncomfortable degree. So, why do I say the Stealth 600 is a mixed offering? The form and placement of the control buttons. This is really the only thing that detracts from the overall top-quality impression of these headphones. But, for me, it’s significant because I find it consistently frustrating. All 6 controls (power/mode/bluetooth | source/mix/volume) are on the left headset (along with the mic). Other than the volume and mix controls - which are dial-wheels, the rest are best described as ‘braille’ buttons. Even after memorizing the layout, I found myself continually needing to feel the whole layout in order to identify the button I wanted to push. This is especially the case when using the source button to switch between bluetooth and RF. It’s just beneath the volume and mix dials, which means I inevitably touch (and usually move) them on my way to finding it. I’m writing this review after only a little more than a week of use, so I would assume this frustration will diminish some with time. But, at this point, it is still a consistent frustration. If Turtle Beach corrects this, these will truly be an exceptional set of gaming headphones. If you can adjust to the control-layout, these are a great choice for affordable, premium-sound, gaming headphones.

Just got into gaming. These do the job. The pros for me are decent sound quality and they stay connected if I walk around the house. The con is that I sometimes get static feedback and have to mess with the usb dongle to fix it. They also do not stay charged very long but not sure if thats a fluke with my set. I charge overnight and will get the beep that they are dying after around 4 hours of use.

I'd give it zero stars if I could. It will not pair with my PS5. I've hard reset PS5, hard reset headset, nothing works, even the app doesn't work. It tells me I have to have BT on... IT IS ON!!. My PS5 sees it, it just says it won't connect to it. It's useless and going back to Best Buy. I'll stick with cheaper, wired headsets. Don't have to worry about charging those anyway.
