Its terrible i wanted a good headset but this wasn't it. I use to respect turtle beach but. After they make a new headset that 1 is. Good but 1 year later they slap together flimsy parts but sell it for the same price then it doesn't work right but this never worked right in the 1st place its always static noises on YouTube, when you turn it on u had to wait to put it on or it'll. Blow out your eardrums. Its never the same volume when you left it last, it uses the same signal that your wifi is on so when you turn ur headset on your mbps of ur wifi will go down by alot so it can make it harder to download or have a stable connection to an online game while its on

I was using an older model of Turtle Beach on my Xbox prior to getting the Stealh 700 Gen 3 This headset is a major upgrade and has features that make this headset a dream when gaming. Audio One reason for using a gaming headset Is to have both good audio input and output. The 60mm dual drivers make you feel like you are actually in the game. Both the highs and lows sound great and when playing first person shooters you can physically hear the location of gun fire and footsteps. This can help bring you gameplay to the next level. Microphone output to me is always a concern. My house is always loud, lots of background noise, and most of the time my wife and I are both playing in the same room. The microphone on this headset is like none other I have used before. It includes AI noise reduction, and I can confirm it works well. With lots of background noise, TV on loud, and kids running around in the background, nothing could be heard by people on the other end. When the mic is muted the USB will pulse red and when it is on it shows green. This gives a good visual on whether your mic is muted or not. Comfort Possibly the next most important thing to me is comfort. It is hard to play video games for hours if your headset is not comfortable. The ear cushions are large and offer tons of comfort. They also have something Turtle Beach calls ProSpecs which offers glasses relief. This is much welcomed since I always wear glasses when gaming. This headset is also not extremely heavy. Although they are on the large side, Turtle beach has done a good job with weight distribution to make them feel like they are not even there. Compatibility Although these are marketed for Xbox, they can be used on any console or PC. This is a huge bonus since I have Xbox, Play Station, Nintendo, and PC. One USB dongle is specifically for Xbox and the other one can be used on every other console or PC. There is also Bluetooth connection which can be connected simultaneously with USB connection. Battery Life Turtle Beach rated the battery life as 80 hours. I believe this is plenty of battery life to game for multiple days/weeks without having to charge. When it is time to charge, they use USB-C which is appreciated since it uses the same charger as just about everything else I use. Conclusion This is a great headset for all types of gaming. Especially when playing online and talking with others. Turtle beach does make other models specific to Play Station and other consoles/PC. But I would highly recommend this headset especially if you want to use it on multiple platforms.

This review is for a Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 3 Wireless Gaming Headset for Xbox. Headset comes nicely packaged, clearly indicating what it is capable of doing and system that it works with. It not only works with Xbox but also PlayStation, PC, Nintendo and Mobile. I love the design where you can turn the speakers outward, so that when you get tired of wearing them, you can still hear the sounds clearly. That alone is a game changer for me. The ability to control game volume and chat volume on the headset is a nice feature. The headset is stylish for any setting in black and silver. The button and volume placements are perfectly placed so you can remember where and what to press at a moments need. The cushions are large and fit around my large ears, so it is comfortable for long play time. The distance that I can walk away from my Xbox is far greater than any other pair I have owned. The audio still breaks up a little but it is not bad. I have enjoyed using the app. It has a 10 bar equalizer that you can play with. I have heard things in songs that I have never heard before while changing the equalizer. It has something call Superhuman hearing but all it does it cut out the bass(probably too much) and turns up the volume more than regular. The battery life is incredible. So far it hasn't gone out. No complaints from my friends about how I sound on the mic. The only thing that I can say is about the bass. I like bass and there isn't enough for me. When I turn up the bass through the equalizer I can hear some distortion so I have to back it down but everything else sounds great. The bass is there, but again it is not enough for me. I still love this headset and it is my new favorite.

This review is for the Xbox version of the headset, but the differences are not huge between the three versions. Turtle Beach has been around about as long as I’ve been gaming, and I’ve always considered their stuff as “good”. I’ve bought the cheapest headsets and the most expensive they sell through the years and I’ve gotten satisfactory performance and durability on every set. They’re one of the few peripheral companies I haven’t screamed at the device and sworn them off. This headset may be close to endgame in this tier. The best thing about this headset is true multipoint switching from separate transmitters that you can use on different devices and switch seamlessly -we've seen this before, but this one works. The Bluetooth connection has not failed yet, which already is better connectivity than the last revision of the Stealth 700, but also beats every other Bluetooth capable gaming set I've ever used, including much more pricey options. I’ve only had connectivity issues having the headset switch back to the correct transmitter after it powers off automatically after 30 minutes. I don’t think it’s an issue with the headset, I’m pretty sure it’s my fumbling, but the high quality source switching is worth the tiny bit of effort I’ll put into operating this extremely simple system. FWIW, this model (Xbox version) has one dongle labeled “XBOX” and one marked “USB”. The USB one reports as a standard USB audio device in Windows and works with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X very well. The transmitter labeled XBOX reports in Windows as an Xbox controller and carries audio via what would normally be the controller output, which takes care of messing with any extra software, you can just make adjustments as if you were using a native headset on the controller. Operation is simple and satisfying no matter what source you’re using. I’m not an expert, but I sense the ghost of Roccat is here in this headset’s design. In comparing my previous wireless headset (Turtle Beach Stealth Pro) the differences are obvious and pleasing in each facet of the headset’s looks and operation. The headband has a pleasant rubber finish on the top and soft padding on the bottom which seems thin, but works perfectly in my case. The adjustment bars on each side of the band has a pleasant matte finish rather than the bare steel on the Pro. The “yoke” or mounting arm for the earcups is where I see and feel the similarity to my SYN Air Max. They have the same single point mounting system, which seems odd at first, but when you put them on and take a couple of second for adjustment, what you’ll find is this yoke design is extremely comfortable. The cups will find a comfortable level front to back and side to side like any other headset, but as you wear it longer, there is less overall pressure and no pressure points I could feel. The cushions accomodate my glasses perfectly, I barely notice a difference with or without glasses. I have now done a 4 hour and 6 hour session without removing these and they’re right on par with my absolute favorites. I have a giant noggin as well, making extended wear with any headset uncomfortable, but these Stealth 700s fit perfectly. The sound is very good, I’m even able to listen to music on these 700s and it’s not horrible! It’s not good enough to use as a primary music headset, but there is fun to be had in here. So much modern music has sub-bass all over it that is inaudible on most music devices, this headset, thanks to the massive 60mm drivers (roughly 30% more surface area), effortlessly renders the sub-bass all the way down and up, there is not a giant hole on the low end (good job). The higher half of the spectrum sounds to me like these cans are clearly tuned for gaming, especially big booms :) . Vocals and instruments have a bit of a wooden sound on the "Signature Sound" setting. For gaming, this is perfect. The equalizer in the Swarm II app allows for really notable improvements, but I didn’t get this headset for music, it’s for gaming and movies on the Xbox and computer, and for that, these are as good as any high end gaming headset I’ve heard. The "wooden" sound signature does seem intentional, as positional cues are clearly audible and with the help of the Dolby Atmos or DTS:X surround software in Windows, I was able to hear people walking around walls perfectly. If you use Swarm II to activate the classic Superhuman Hearing, it makes some adjustments to punch up footsteps and reloads, especially when they’re faint. When gaming, your phone remains connected (!?!) and can play simultaneously with the audio from the transmitter you’re connected to – with fair sound quality. I played the same songs through iTunes in Windows via the transmitter and through Apple Music on my phone, and if you’ve ever wondered what Bluetooth does to your music, give it a try, it’s quite obvious when you can A/B with the same cans. It's amazing how bad BT sounds, even in 2024... Sound quality on every wireless headset nowadays is not "good", but it's serviceable. It seems battery life sells more headsets, and huge battery life means teeny power for driving what are now huge diaphrams. As an aside: If you have trouble with no sound after the headset goes to sleep, click on the Windows speaker icon, choose another output, then go back to the TB headset and you'll get sound. If you have easy access to your ports, you can pull the transmitter and replug it also. This isn't a TB problem; this is Windows showing its colors as MS shortsightedly allows it to rot in the name of advertising revenue. I've had the issue with multiple other wireless sets from other brands, I just assume that's how it works now. The app is minimal, with basic controls and some adjustments for the factory sounds presets. You can save equalizer settings in there as well as “Game Preset” modes that cycle with the factory modes – via the Mode button on the headset, and they give beeps for feedback, counting one for the first mode, two for the second, etc. There is no audio feedback when you get into your own presets, but I figure there a couple of fixes coming around, as the remapping of the lower left wheel is also mentioned in the app, but the functionality is not yet exposed. You can adjust the brightness of the LEDs on each of the transmitters as well, which is a quality of life feature that may not seem like a big deal, but it’s so much more pleasant when gaming or watching a movie to not be looking at the transmitter light pulsing. What is missing? Nothing really. There is no active noise cancellation for your ears, but the microphone does a good job of clearing all the A/C noise in my room. Passive noise reduction is very good, mostly (I think) because of the luxurious padding and could likely be slightly modded to cut down on the noise making it’s way in through the body, but the damping is good enough that I’m not going to bother. These being semi-open cups, there's always going to be a little noise. The other thing that’s getting harder and harder to put up with is the lack of battery swap capabilities – it can be done, very well, as they’ve already proven on the Pro. The astronomical battery life numbers are great, but when I forget to charge my headset or when the time comes that the battery no longer takes a charge, I’m going to be on a wire. The battery swap on the Pro has been a lifesaver in organized matches after I’ve forgotten to charge up. I'm sure it's a more costly system, but the days of sealing batteries into our devices and making them "non-replaceable" need to end. But I've digressed- The Stealth 700’s third iteration is a big jump forward in refinement and user experience beyond the previous model. The yoke system is the most comfortable you can buy in my opinion, the build quality, great padding, light weight, monster bass, and stellar battery life all add up to the headset to beat in it’s tier. If you’re looking for quality over a bunch of features you’ll never use, this is the one to go for.

Turtle Beach, maker of many gaming accessories, has iterated their popular Stealth 700 headset with a pretty significant redesign! Lets dive into the changes and features to see if this one is worth your gaming dollar. The box contents are straightforward – a USB A to C cable, the headset, some documentation, and two(!!) wireless adapters. More on those in a minute. The headset itself is a pretty understated design, no RGB here, just a clean look. The earcups, and overall headset, are fairly large, housing huge 60mm diameter drivers and a battery that can power the headset for up to 80 hours. One big improvement over the previous 700 series is a completely redesigned hinge system. The previous design was prone to stress cracks over time; this new hinge looks like it won’t have this problem as it is fundamentally different. Mercifully, it also has a lower clamping pressure than the previous generation. Despite the bulk, the thick earcups and headband foam make this a very comfortable headset to wear. It also has a flip up mic, a hallmark of the 700 series, which I personally appreciate. It also has a huge number of controls – 4 total buttons and 3 dials. The buttons control power, sound preset, Bluetooth, and the new quick switch button to switch between the two included transmitters. The 3 wheels also allow for a lot of convenient control options that don’t require using a companion app. I really liked that when you turn the main volume and the Bluetooth volume wheels, it feeds back and sets the master volume on the device you are using, so on a PC your windows volume will decrease with the on-screen Windows volume indicator, and the same for the Bluetooth volume wheel. This is much better than an independent wheel where you have to find some combination of headset and system volume that works and you never quite know where each one is set. The other wheel controls the chat and game volume mix. The connectivity options on this headset are great, allowing for connections to a PC, Xbox, and Bluetooth device. When paired with Bluetooth, you can listen to music or run a call while still having game audio inputs mixed in. It also allows for app control of the headset features on your phone. One note here – the initial firmware update for the Xbox version requires using the app. While it is cool that firmware updates can be done through the app, the update process is a little interesting, requiring both transmitters to be powered on along with the headset. And yes, I did say both transmitters. This headset ships with two transmitters, one that can be used on a PC/Switch/PS5, and one for Xbox only. A single button press on the headset lets you flip dynamically between each input source. I prefer this over the trend lately of some headsets having large base stations that are sitting inline with your HDMI connections or need to be close to your devices – many times you want to game in different places, or the PC and console aren’t in the same room, so the base stations just end up being clunky and annoying. This headset can quickly flip between devices wherever they may be located. On to the reason for a headset – the sound it makes! As mentioned before, the 700 has truly massive 60mm drivers. It does not have any kind of active noise cancellation, which is fine for me, the isolation from the closed back design and foam is good enough for most use cases, and avoids any “cabin pressure” effect or ANC bugs. It also increases battery life, which at up to 80 hours is huge on this headset. It can go for a long time between charges, which is nice. Sound quality is good for games and you can hear many details that may be lost on cheaper headsets or smaller desktop speakers. For music, they work well, but they don’t quite live up to the level of something like a higher end set of dedicated music headphones in terms of clarity or detail. The mic is also decent, with ambient noises filtered out of chats. The best part is the flip to mute, I really like being able to flip the mic up into the earcup and not have to remove it or have it continually in my face. The headset also sports mic monitoring – it feeds your voice back into the headset in real time, so you don’t feel like you are shouting in a tunnel, which anyone else in your space will probably appreciate. Overall, if you are looking for a balanced headset in terms of connectivity, sound quality, features, and cost, the Stealth 700 Gen 3 represents a generational leap to the venerable 700 series. Turtle Beach made several quality and comfort improvements that make it one you should consider if you are looking for a new headset.

I've used a variety of headsets and gaming headsets in the past including high end name brand. Nothing compares to the sound quality that comes out of this turtle beach headset. I had no idea how poor quality the sound was with the headset I was using before this. I feel like I can hear every little thing with this turtle beach headset and it's so easy to control or change your sound settings to match exactly what you need for your game. This was super easy to connect and I love that I can connect and switch between pc and Xbox so easily. I use both to game and have never used another headset that made it so seamless. The battery life on this is incredible, it really seems to last forever even with heavy use. The flip up to mute mic is so nice and I love that the mic isn't in the way if I'm not speaking. The ear cups fit great and are comfortable even with glasses on. They adjust pretty big and should fit just about anyone's head with ease. I like the sleek black and silver colorway as well.

When it comes to gaming everyone needs a gaming headset and Turtle Beach continues to put out top of the line headsets for gaming. With this latest iteration they continue to not only put out a product with great sound quality and battery life, but also bring a superb redesign and intriguing additional features. Key Features: Build Quality & Design: Right out of the box you can tell these fit that typical Turtle Beach mold of being a quality product. The comfort is exceptional as I have not had any issues in the slightest during long gaming sessions. Then they have done this with an exceptional redesign of the appearance. The new sleek wireless look gives it that overall premium appearance. They also did a great job here with the button/scroll wheel placement as the layout is extremely straightforward and you will learn the location of each extremely quickly. Dual Ear Cup Volume: This is actually where the first new feature comes into play as each ear cup volume can be changed individually as there is a separate scroll wheel for each. There is also an additional scroll wheel on the left ear cup that controls your game versus chat volume. The only other buttons on the headset are a power button, Bluetooth button, mode button, and transmitter toggle button. Crossplay Audio: This brings us to the other new feature with this headset in that the headset supports crossplay. How this works is that the headset includes a usb dongle for both your PC and your Xbox so once you have plugged each into that respective device you can simply bounce back and forth between the audio from your PC to your Xbox by clicking the button on your headset. This is such a smart feature to include and is a huge selling point for me. Simultaneous Bluetooth: In addition to this the headset also offers simultaneous audio over bluetooth so if you're in a discord call on your phone you can still hear audio from the game or you could listen to music from your phone along with the audio from the game. Sound Performance: When it comes to sound performance this headset definitely excels. The sound quality is very rich and detailed. The noise cancellation component definitely helps with this as it is superb. The customizable EQ settings include Turtle Beach`s famous “SuperHuman” hearing which is great when playing shooters where you are listening for footsteps. Voice Performance: The microphone here again hits everything you could need as everyone I play with can hear me without issue and note that my voice comes out extremely clear with no background noise whatsoever. The flip to mute microphone is a must anymore and it works flawlessly here without issue as it always seems to recognize when it is in the up or down position. Overall, this is a premium gaming headset that checks all the boxes from a sleek new design that is comfortable for long gaming sessions to a superb audio experience that offers a wide range of customizable options. The greater emphasis to play/listen to audio from multiple devices quickly and simultaneously are great new features here that make this headset standout from competitors. Thus, as someone that has used a variety of gaming headsets from Razer, Astro, and HyperX I definitely find myself always coming back to these. For that reason I would highly recommend these to anyone in the market for a gaming headset.
