    They're the better basic. My brother has the same kind and are has to connect to each other's Xboxes.

    I've used a variety of headsets and gaming headsets in the past including high end name brand. Nothing compares to the sound quality that comes out of this turtle beach headset. I had no idea how poor quality the sound was with the headset I was using before this. I feel like I can hear every little thing with this turtle beach headset and it's so easy to control or change your sound settings to match exactly what you need for your game. This was super easy to connect and I love that I can connect and switch between pc and Xbox so easily. I use both to game and have never used another headset that made it so seamless. The battery life on this is incredible, it really seems to last forever even with heavy use. The flip up to mute mic is so nice and I love that the mic isn't in the way if I'm not speaking. The ear cups fit great and are comfortable even with glasses on. They adjust pretty big and should fit just about anyone's head with ease. I like the sleek black and silver colorway as well.

    Work Well, Except When You Need Them

    When they work, they work well. However, I am having trouble with mine working. I have had numerous issues of the mic not working, the audio not working, and having to allow/disallow permission for the headset to get them to work. I am also having an issue that when listening to audio (music/YouTube) the audio will skip around like a CD scratching. I have tried fixing all of these errors by looking up information, but none of it will help. It's very possible I got a defective pair, but as is, they are two-star worthy.

    Gen 2 is better

    I bought this because it was on sale and my Gen 2s are a little worse for wear. Gen 2 sounds better, is easier to operate have fuether range and are more comfortable. Also, the mic monitoring is terrible compared to the gen 2s it sounds robotic instead of natural. Overall, it's still a decent headset, but if you are thinking of upgrading, I wouldn't.

    Great product, terrible employee

    Item was great....for the 10 minutes i got to use it!!! The adapter shut down and stopped working 10 minutes after i opened the box. Went to return them and i told the CSR that i wanted to trade for a new pajr cause i knew there were some there, and he just shrugged me off, said "thats weird" sent my money back and told me to have a nice day. It was quite terrible customer service. Id recommend this item, its a great item, i just got a faulty one. However, i would not recommend the store in Covington, Louisiana.

    Needed a warranty replacement a few months in. Head cushion started to come off. Turtle beach is great with warranty. Got a new pair sent to me asap

    Very conflicted, having used turtle beach for the last 10 years ranging from the stealth 500- stealth 700 gen 3 I love their products and have always used them. However ever since getting the 700 gen 3 I have had constant problems with the headset disconnecting on my pc even though they are supposed to be compatible with them, this is the only headset that has ever had a issue with my pc out of all the other ones and it’s very tiring to try to reconnect them every 30 mins to a hour, when using on PlayStation they work decent besides the iffy mic quality, but for those who pc game and console game I would not suggest getting these

    Honestly it's 2025-2026 and I don't believe a headset that has the Xbox brand or a "made for Xbox" printed on it should require a dongle to work with the system. Now the boxing is misleading and the associate told me the headset would work with my Xbox natively. That the dongle would only be used if I wished to use it with another system.

    Quality feels cheap. Cushions aren't as soft as the second gens. They hurts at times. I would purchase another pair of second gens if I had the chance.
