Very little instructions on operation. The box says there is 3 programmable modes to collect sound. Have no idea how to accomplish this. Some combination of pushing or holding buttons perhaps ???

I got this for my son to stream and it works great!

I wasn't sure if this mic would make a difference in recording voice audio, but I was impressed with the sound quality. It didn't blow me away, but it sounded better than the built in mic on my Windows PC. The mic on my MacBook is fairly decent, so the difference between the two was marginal. There are no drivers or software required to get it to work. Just plug it into the USB port, and it's ready to go. The stand is very well built, and made of metal. However, the mic itself is made of plastic. The mic allows you to toggle between 4 different mic patterns by the push of a button. It will light up a different color to represent the pattern you chose. I wish there was a mechanical switch you could slide to between them, with a description of each mic pattern. It's difficult to remember which color represent each mic pattern. A small display of the mic pattern or description would have been nice as well. The mic comes with a USB cable that's about 10 foot in length. The size that plugs into the mic is not micro USB, so you will need to be sure to bring this cable with you at all times.

First, setting up was very easy on my PC, Xbox and PS4. You just connect it to the USB port and voila. I loved the fact that all parts were individually packed and labeled. The little assembly required took no time at all. Five minutes, if not less. In all my tests, it performed flawlessly. Using it with Skype was such a good experience. My mother told me I sounded so much clearer. She is overseas and we talk often. I didn’t have to repeat myself at any time and had a very similar experience with gaming. Recording with it on a PC made me wish I had such a good quality audio when recording with my cameras. The only “issue” is that it is very sensitive. So make sure there are no distracting sounds while using it because it will pick them up. That’s when the multi-function button comes handy to select the direction to pick up audio from by choosing one of the modes: cardioid, hypercardiod, bi-directional or omnidirectional. For more customization, Turtle Beach offers a free software you can download for your PC. It is not perfect but it certainly helps.
