The 1-star is not so much a reflection on Byron as it is on Best Buy. We paid $199 for a professional installation of our new TV. It was delivered, plugged in and but when I attempted to logon to Netflix to check streaming capability, the TV failed completely. The technician tried several times to reboot but in the end left us with a dead TV and closed ticket.

The guys were great, on time, and quick. 100% would have something delivered again, if needed.

Geek Squad guys were prompt, knowledgeable & set up & explained everything thoroughly.

I was told that I'd get a call the day before the Geek Squad was to come to confirm my appt. and to give a more definite time------received no call. Geek Squad agent, "Augie" arrived with our TV. I told him that we didn't receive a call the night before. He said he called at 5:30pm and left a message on 650 583-5609 (correct number) We were home at 5:30pm the night before and we did not receive his call. He then asked, "Oh, is that your land line number?" I told him yes and he replied, "My mobile doesn't work with a land line." WHAT???? He then started to hook up the TV and after checking out our furniture/room arrangement, he said that we would need a wall mount. So........He plugged the TV in and left it in the middle of the room on the floor!!! My husband is 80 and I'm pushing 80. After this very inept Geek agent left, we lifted the TV to a more suitable location in the room. I ordered the wall mount that he said would work and it was delivered, but then the virus hit and that was that. He also told us that we need new connections for our DVD recorder/video cassette recorder, our compact disc multiplayer, and our am/fm stereo receiver. He didn't give us any info on what to actually get. To top it off, the TV doesn't turn on to the regular screen. We have to wait while it warms up/decides to give us the full screen. When we have the Geek Squad come to install the wall mount, I would like to have the person also bring the connections for the above-mentioned equipment. Have been unable to reach Best Buy to relay this info.
