Customers are saying
Customers are enthusiastic about the large TV size and the professionalism of the installers. However, some customers expressed concerns regarding the installation process itself, particularly the subcontracting of the service and the time it took to complete. The cost of installation was also mentioned as a point of concern for some customers. Feedback suggests a need for improved communication and potentially additional support during the installation of larger TVs.

Could not Provide
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After purchasing my 4k tv and 4k blu ray, I was told that they thought the geek squad could connect them with my RTI remote. I received a call four days before they were to come out and was told “NO geek squad member knows how to connect them to my RTI remote but only the 650 Harmony. This is sad that a company so large does not have ONT person that cannot program the best remote out there. The RTI brand is well known and used, and has better reviews that the 650 Harmony. Many people who try the 49.99 Harmony end up getting the RTI 300.00 because it is easier to use, more reliable and made of metal not plastic. Just sad that the geek squad has not upped their skills to use other remotes other than what they sell which has bad reviews.

Third party installers sent out
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even though I paid for Total Tech Support, a third party installer was sent out. Even though the two guys that were sent out were friendly and sat the three TVs up, they only had basic knowledge on how to connect the additional equipment. The sound bar works great but it was not set up properly where the cable remote will control the volume or turn the sound bar on and off. They did not run an HDMI cable from the cable boxes to the TVs. They only ran an HDMI cable from the DVD Recorders to the TVs. This setup gives me a picture that only fills 75 to 80% of the screen. One of the controllers is set up with two of the buttons set for the TV. When I hit the system button to turn everything on, the cable box turns on, the TV turns on, the TV turns off and the DVD recorder turns on. Also, my 65" TV is setting on top of a fireplace unsecured. I have had five different appointment dates for the install. The install was finally done on Nov. 2, 2018. On the evening of Nov. 13, 2018, I received a call that they had to reschedule my Nov. 15th install to Nov. 17th. When I told them that a third party had already done the installation, the agent that he would mark the record as showing that I paid a third to install the TVs and then hung up. We were in the car and I had the phone on speaker. Both my wife and granddaughter stated that he was just rude. When I purchased my 65" TV, the Geek Squad did come out and did a great job setting everything up. When I moved 6.2 miles to our new home from our apartment, a third party installer was sent out. Except for the appointment scheduler and the third party installer, I have never had any complaints about the Geek Squad and their work. Before you spend $180 for Total Tech Support, I would verify that the Geek Squad is the actual ones that will be servicing you and not some third party company.

Geek squad worthless
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a TV that I was told could double as my computer monitor. When the geek guys showed up they unboxed the tv and set it on my desk plugged it in handed me the remote and said they were done. I showed them a email from the geek that helped me buy it online that said they would get it all setup and it would do everything I wanted before they left. I spent 200 and didn't even get a kiss. After multicable calls, I got ahold of a man who after looking at my laptop and tv said we can make it work. I went and bought parts and return ed home called back and he explained how to hook up the HDMI cable to my laptop and tv. It works but i would like a refund for the geek squad which he said he would do but it has happened yet. U want to but 450 worth of Nintendo products but I am scared they will lie to me again. I wish someone would respond.

Geek squad services overpriced
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do not feel you have to buy an additional membership just to get the product set up. We purchased a geek squad membership for a couple hundred dollars. I feel this should be part of best buy complimentary service when you purchase a major item.over $159.

Cost is rating driver
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My TV was already mounted, all I needed was it connected to the new Home speaker and programed into the controller(which also costs), This was part of a bigger install so I agreed, but I think BB needs a cheaper selection if someone has done the heavy lifting. This is no reflection of the team, Geek Squad team was great and helpful.

Expensive for what I got!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They replaced a cable with one I had, and fixed my Comcast remote to work the TV. I asked about connecting the TV to my cable and was told it would be difficult. Not sure if he meant for him or me. That is what I was paying for. I could plug it in.
