Customers are saying
Customers are enthusiastic about the large TV size and the professionalism of the installers. However, some customers expressed concerns regarding the installation process itself, particularly the subcontracting of the service and the time it took to complete. The cost of installation was also mentioned as a point of concern for some customers. Feedback suggests a need for improved communication and potentially additional support during the installation of larger TVs.

Geek squa TV setup....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The boys that arrived did set it up correctly, but they did explain much at all the features of the T.V. so for that lack of service I feel we were give for the price we paid was no where worth the money we paid.

Poor Installation Leaves Lasting Impression
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I asked at the time I purchased my Samsung 55'' TV if my VCR and DVD players could be connected to it. The answer I was given was yes. So I purchased the necessary HDMI converter to do so. After the installer set up my TV, he told me that the VCR and DVD players could not be connected. He gave no explanation, left all of the wiring dangling from the back of my TV and left. There was also a Samsung Solar Cell Remote which he went over so hurriedly that I still don't understand its use. In short the service was extremely poor and I am thoroughly dissatisfied. I have purchased several Best Buy products and this is the first time I have had any cause to complain. If all he was going to do was to connect the TV, I could have done that myself and saved $99.99. Thanks for nothing!

How to spend $700 for a $500 TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV stopped part way into the activation process, and it cost $200 for Geek Squad to show up after a two-day wait and spend all of 10 minutes to complete the activation.

Very good service provided
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The techs were very helpful. I was a little disappointed that to fix the problem was to switch off the system, and then turn it back on. It would have been less expensive had the initial communication with Best Buy offered possible solutions during my call to request support

As above
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The agents removed the old TV and brought in the new TV and placed it on the site. I was able to turn it on but I had to hire a separate person to set up the ROKU and make sure I understood how to operate it.

Posted .That's pretty frustrating, most certainly. I'm sorry to hear that it's doing this. Geek Squad's 30 day labor warranty is in place for instances like this, in which unruly technology is being stubborn. We'd be happy to see about taking care of this for you if you'd like to call us at 1-800-Geek Squad (1-800=433-5778).

Poor Experience - Buyer Beware
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased a new 70” TV from Best Buy. During the transaction I spent ample time with a gentlemen explaining everything about my new house and what I needed in regards to installation for my new TV and audio equipment. I explained where the TV was going to go, what equipment I had and that my house was prewired from the wall to the shelves and it was also pre-wired for rear speakers in the ceiling in addition to speakers on my covered deck outside. I paid over for everything he said it would take to get the job done, however the job was not complete. The original appointment was rescheduled by Best Buy, so while I would have been home for the appt I made, I was traveling for the make-up appt, so my wife was home when he arrived. I had everything together all in one place. The TV, mounting bracket, sound bar, BluRay and my receiver were all together. The builder of the home pre-wired the house, so there was ample wiring already there for all of the components necessary, however the technician charged my wife an additional $70 for a 12 foot HDMI cord and then drilled a new hole in my shelving unit to run the new wire. I told my builder about this and he was baffled as there is already an HDMI cord there, along with countless forms of wiring for numerous types of components. He also told my wife there was no need to hook up my receiver and we should just use the sound bar. Without the receiver, I cannot use my rear speakers in the ceilings or the speakers outside. The technician also neglected to program my remotes which I was told was part of the package I paid for. Today I decided to go into the store to try and get this corrected and I was told and I quote “it is what it is”. He said the technician didn’t hook up your receiver because there were no speakers present. The speakers weren’t mounted to the ceiling yet, but they were there. I had two fronts, two rears and two center channels present that he could have used for testing. The wires were also there, pre-wired, from the shelving unit thru the house to the location in the ceiling and on my deck. When I purchased the TV I was told that I should hang the speakers myself, which I was fine with, but I needed the receiver hooked up to power the speakers. When I asked about the remotes, he replied “we did what you paid for”. At the beginning of the conversation he told me all of this should have been completed, but changed his story when he want to go talk to someone. Meanwhile, I was at the store for an hour, waiting patiently. Another staff member actually went to go look for him because he saw me sitting there waiting for a long time. He asked me, are you sure someone is helping you? Let’s just assume for a minute that the gentlemen that sold me the TV and installation package for over $200 was wrong. Wouldn’t you expect the staff to try and make it right? Even if it was going to cost me extra money, it would have been nice to hear we are sorry you were quoted wrong and it will cost a little more. I would have listened and probably scheduled an appt on the spot. Instead I was left with no resolution and told have a good day. Meanwhile my receiver is still not hooked up, I cannot use my rear speakers/outside speakers and my family has to use 4 remotes to control our components. I spent $3k on this transaction and I was treated like I bought some batteries.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The agent was very thorough, but almost too fast for me. He hooked it up very quickly, but I really didn’t get any time to ask about troubleshooting certain problems.
