set up new tv and hook up to existing recorder

Pretty useless

A big bundle of visible cords behind my TV. This should have been quick and easy. It wasn’t.

Attempt to install Apple TV box

To install Apple TV box Started by tearing wires out of my receiver and making adjustments to TV settings. First claimed my receiver was bad then my TV was bad (both less than 2 yrs old). Finally after nor.al functions would not work, brought in new cable and determined my HDMI cable was incompatible (supposedly)After complaining that they may not be able to restore system,then attempted to put things back together which took over an hour of trial and error with function by function first failing due to modifications then fixed after several attempts to return to original setup. Still have speakers not operating that were perfectly fine previously. No progress but much aggravation and damage These guys were technically inept and analytical process was terrible. Seemed to have very limited training

Poor setup!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very poor service.I had to hire another person to properly set it up.the first tv i bought sent a team and set it up great.the person i talked to this time said a team would be coming.Deliver guy came and did not fo much told me to check you tube videos.Very disapointed in best buy.

Expensive

Geek Squad install?????

Installer had difficulty with the existing mount and did not fully complete the work. TV is hanging but mount is not fully put together. I had to assist installer with mounting by lifting off existing TV and assist in lifting on new TV.

Brand New TV With Dust

There was dust all over the back of it plus all the finger prints of the installers. It makes me wonder if I got a repackaged TV. How can a brand new TV in a box be covered with dust. I left a message for Best Buy to call me. Guess what no call. I am also a elite plus member. That means nothing to them once they get there money

A disappointing series of events.

And when the Samsung finally did deliver the order was incomplete and the set-up tech had no answers why. Had to go into the store to get this ironed out and finally delivered complete. Geek Squad still gets my vote but ...

Geek Sguad never installed my new TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It was a joke that I am fighting with a dispute the driver with assistant brought tv in took my old tv off the stand unpacked my new tv and put it on the stand then I plugged in my HDMI from my cable box and the HDMI for my firestick and my digital wire for my receiver and that was it and since I was getting my delivery for free why would I be charged $199.99 for TV install

A Confederacy of Dunces

I paid $200 for them to install the TV. The service tech arrived and said the mount that came with the outdoor TV can’t be used to mount it outdoors. So, like an idiot, I bought a different mount from Best Buy. I called to reschedule the appointment 4 times. After 23 days of waiting, the day of my rescheduled install finally arrived. The tech called me the morning of to tell me that because the original order shows as “completed” in his system, he cannot do the install. I have been a Best Buy card member for 13 years. After this experience, I will never use my card again.

Worst experience ever

He needed assistance bringing the tv in putting it on the stand and plugging it in. He did not hook up the WiFi or pair a second dirctv remote. He did not even take the clear covering off the Samsung tv remote or do any settings including voice command. He literally did nothing but pair one directv remote. He left with the figure quality so bad I was ready to return I had to set up everything myself. I therefore feel I am due a price adjustment. He then had the nerve to leave a sheet about a survey I will receive that anything 8 or less is a failure. He doesn’t even get a 1 in my book

The great getaway

They were gone and I could not get them back. I canceled the order. I bought the TV at another store. I did not want to set it up obviously, and we’re looking for an excuse to get away.
