TV connect

Rude and way over-priced
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.2 guys (in 2 trucks) at delivery and install site. Delivery was supposed to be free. I paid $ 99.99 for hook-up (took them 5 minutes to plug in cable & power, turn on TV & Cable box and connect to internet). Then thet charged the homeowner almost $ 300 to wall mount the TV ! They were there about 1 hour. So totally over charged and they were not going to do anything unless customer agreed to pay. Nasty..

Tech was 1 1/2 hours late and did not complete job

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tech assembled TV but could not connect sound bar nor make DVD player connection. He was 1 1/2 hours later than specified window. I had to complete the installation of TV and troubleshoot DVD connection and Polk Audio sound bar. Disappointing experience. Why did I pay for service I didn’t get?

Timely but a little rushed

Service Set Up

They convinced me to use Roku instead of the LG remote. The Roku does not work well. I have had to remove apps as apparently there is not enough room.

Geek squad analysis of old tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The first geek squad person who came to look at our old tv boy spent about 5 minutes analyzing it and said it would take $200-500 to repair and we should buy a new monitor be. Didn’t say what the problem was since he couldn’t power it up.

Very late and poor setup

Communication During COVID-19.

I tried to contact the office but I was on hold for an hour. The technician stated " customer service representatives are probably setting at the desk waiting for customers to become discouraged and hang up". I believe him?

Not worth it

They had trouble setting up peripherals. Left me on my own to figure it out. Was not worth the high price. They should have been more knowledgeable with the equipment.

Product didn't work as advertised
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought Logitech Harmony remote specifically to use without needing to have direct access to the receiver. It doesn't work. And the Yamaha receiver volume control is weird. Operates in negative numbers (it does not start at -0- and go up - it starts negative and the negative numbers go DOWN). At least this is what the installers told me. I have contacted a geeksquad tech for help. Very disappointed.

If o knew that's all they were doing...I could be done it for free. They werent the Geek squad I thought I was paying for but they were nice, professional and took all debris.

Geek Squad did poor job installing TV and Recever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought a new high-dollar TV and Receiver, was told Geek Squad would do a great install. Pre-install visit failed to pick up a problem with one of existing speakers and problem with using really old URC, sop when installers showed up, they couldn't complete all the hook-ups, only the TV speakers. Left me trying to get sound going through the new receiver and juggling four remotes to manage TV, Cable box, Receiver and Blue-ray. Two calls to Geek Squad management to ask for help were never returned. Finally hired a third party to come in and sort things out. Geek Squad needs to figure out how to take responsibility of managing the field service install to completion.

Outside vendor was not good.

New TV not set up right!!!

Well wrong!!! Doing same thing telling us to finish set-up. Well mist call again to have them check it out!!! They did very well with my laptop but brand new TV is a different matter!!!! Very disappointed!!!

Horrible experience !!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Such a horrible experience with geek squad to install my TV, First I asked for their services since I am an elite member with best buy (thinking it will make my life a lot easier) but I guess I was mistaken. They sent out a site survey to make sure the job can be done the way I wanted, both the geek squad agent from the survey and the agent on the phone assured me that the job will be done the exact way I wanted, after putting in the order and paying for it because it is a pre-paid service (which were more money than usual because they will need to move some wires around). the agent that showed to my house said that he can't do this service period. SO WHY DID THE SURVEY AND THE AGENT ON THE PHONE TOLD ME IT WILL BE DONE??? Then he called his supervisor and got the OK from him to do the job that was promised to me and that I paid for. I was scheduled for another re-do. And for the third time they assured me that this time they will do the work, AND FOR THE THIRD TIME THE AGENT THAT CAME TO MY HOUSE SAID HE CANT DO IT. Are you kidding me??!!!!!!!!!!!! Would never recommend Geek Squad to anyone for anything anymore
