Crap and shameful!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I paid $200 for a set up which was a waste of money and a misrepresentation of service. They did not have a cable that fitted and used a 1ft. connection that left my set box suspended in the air. They had an 8 ft. one that they wanted to charge me $80. They suggested I go buy the proper cable and hook it up myself which I did. I will never purchase from them again and when I called to complain because I had difficulty in the re-hookup I did, customer service wasn’t any better, They wouldn’t let me speak to a manager and kept disconnecting me.

Technician needed additional training

A followup visit by a different technician was also unable to get the new TV working with the Pioneer receiver.

Credit not received

I was charged for a new cable and to install the new cable in the wall. This ended up not being necessary and I was told I would get a credit for both. The install was 6 days ago and that hasn’t happened.

What a mess

Instead contractors did 3 weeks after the initial delivery date and broke several of the cords needed to connect the TV to the cable, DVD, etc. Then we’re were told to purchase cables to replace the broken ones and MAYBE the purchased ones would be comped after everything was complete. Bottom line: I purchased a Christmas gift for my parents in November to be delivered and set up by Best Buy/Geek Squad in December. It’s now February and the job is not only incomplete, it’s actually now worse than have the original working television!

Worst ever

They flat missed 2 full days of scheduled appointments, with no calls or texts to explain, and on the 3rd try they promised to arrive between 1 and 4 and di not show up until 9:30 pm, And after all that they bungled the installation of the sound. No excuse.

Geek Squad is a joke and should never be used

I ordered my TV on 11/25/22 and still have yet to receive it. The original delivery date they showed up 2 hours late, but I had to go back to work. So, they left but not until calling me only once. Their customer service department is also terrible and I have been told there is nothing that can be done about this. I can safely say that I will never purchase anything with BestBuy again after this. Hopefully at some point my TV arrives and I can get some type of refund. Save your money and buy your items elsewhere. It’s not worth the hassle.

Geek Squad is outsourcing tv setups

THEIR subcontractors are not paid to get the tv up & running. We had to fight & telling Best Buy to remove our new tv. They wanted us to pay twice for tv setup. Buyer beware, Best Buy is destroying Geek Squad to make a few extra dollars.
