Not happy

Geek squad did not do what I had asked!

They were done right but the cord is Not what my husband wanted the cord is in a knot and sticking out looking ugly!

Awful Service nothing but problems
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have Geek Squad ssetvice. I ordered a new TV which took a week to arrive. It was supposed to be delivered with installation. 2 men arrived who didn’t speak English . They didn’t know how to install TV. They were only delivery men. I called geek squad and they said someone from Geek Squad will have to come to install. Now, I have to wait 2 weeks to have them come to install the TV. This is unacceptable. When the tv was pirchased there shiuld have been an immediate appt for Geek squad to install the day if arrival.

Don't Trust the Geek Squad to Do the Job Correctly

She rushed so much that she did not install my TV correctly and left me with a dysfunctional TV and sound bar. I had to call a technician from another company to come and correct her many, many mistakes. He found she not only install the TV and sound bar incorrectly, she also broke the cable box which had to be replaced. I will not trust the Geek Squad for any job in the future.

Third party installers sent out

Instead of someone from the Geek Squad, a third party came out to install and connect two 50" TVs and to connect a 65" TV with a sound bar. they also connected two DVD recorders to one of the 50" and the 65" TVs. At our apartment, HDMI inputs were: 1 - TV, 2 - DVD Recorder and 3 - Blu-ray player. The installer stated that in order for the recorder to work, the recorder must be connect directly with the cable box and then to the TV. On the 65" TV, the picture is about the size of a 47" TV and the 50" has a size of a 35". If I am spending over $2,000 on TVs, 4K Blu-ray players, TV furniture and Total Tech Support, I would expect a Geek Squad member who is familiar with TVs and connecting components to do the installation.

TV delivered damaged. Geek Squad no help.

Instead of taking the unit back to the store for a replacement, it was left at my house with the understanding "the store" would expedite a replacement. No further instructions. An update message from Best Buy indicated the TV as "delivered" although delivery was never accepted. After several hours of waiting to be contacted by "the store", I initiated contact with a Geek Squad agent using the Best Buy chat and arranged for a replacement and setup. There has been no apology from Best Buy, and scheduling was not escalated as should have been for a damaged TV. I will not be renewing my annual contract with the Geek Squad.

Poor customer satisfaction

Seemed like I was putting him out. I was told by the sales rep that if I needed a cable the install guy should have it with him, he did not.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ON EARTH
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HORRIBLE. They canceled my delivery twice after sending me reminder messages that they were coming. When they finally did deliver, they did not set up the remote control correctly (TV does not turn on or off via remote, I have to go to the TV and push a button. Did not discover this incompetent service until late that night, called the next day for what? A 10 minute job? Couldn't get there for two days. Recd confirmation they were coming. Waiting. Recd phone call telling me to reschedule for two more days later. Waiting now. Wanna bet they don't show up AGAIN??? I wouldn't recommend this service to an enemy -- I don't hate anybody that much.

NOT PREPARED FOR WHAT I ASKED TO BE SCHEDULED

When the technicians arrived, they took one look at it and told me they were only prepared to set-up a TV and weren't told they needed to do an AUDIO SET-UP to a TV and Apple TV. I don't know where the communication disconnect happened. This was the second time the techs arrived with the wrong information. After the techs left, I requested this again along with one of the technicians helping me. When I had the THIRD service scheduled, the technicians were a NO SHOW and no phone call from anyone at Best Buy to apologize.

A lot of money for little service

I still get the notice to connect every time I turn on my set. the only good piece of advice was to purchase a box to turn my tv into a smart tv. Not worth the expense or the wait.

Uninformed sales pitch

When geek squad arrived they discovered the tv wall would not allow dropped wires inside the wall. They never asked about type of wall ahead of time - I could have checked . Poor staffing, Still no refund.

Really bad service…
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don’t pay for this service. Mounting a big tv takes 2 people and only one came. He didn’t even know he was supposed to mount the tv and had to make a few calls to confirm the “change”. No pilot holes were drilled before slamming bolts into studs, and a power tool was used to bolt the bracket to the tv. I had to help in mounting the tv, which defeated the whole purpose of paying to have it done. This is a huge waste of money, and the way the tech handles your property may leave you with damages

Original installer disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When the original installer came to set up he did put up tv but said that the antenna would not do what we wanted so he did not set up. Therefore, was unable to use the new smart tv. However, we were able to use the antenna for what we wanted after paying another person to set up antenna.

Waste of money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The guys that came to my house were great and did what they could to make me feel like I got some value out of this service. This service was vastly mis-represented over the phone and in store. I told them I already had everything hooked and wanted to integrate all my smart devices. I was told over the phone and in person that this could be done. When the squad arrived I was told that nothing I wanted to have done could be done. This should have been told to me before paying for the service but I guess the company just saw an opportunity to make money. I will never recommend this service or use it again. Terrible experience.
