Terrible job!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was told that a Geek Squad member would come hook up our new TV and sync all the devices. I was also told that they would perform "cable maintenance" meaning they would organize all the cables, wrap, label and mount them behind the media center. We were also told they would have a reasonable supply of any extra materials we might need, cables and such, they did not. During the flood my husband moved our media center only to find a wad of cables that were Not organized nor were they labeled! They had us go buy an optical cable and still could not hook up our surround sound. Overall it was a waste of time and money. I would never recommend this service to anyone else. Completely disappointed in this service and would not purchase it again.

Terrible customer service
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Two months after receiving our new receiver, 3 no-show tech appointments, and I'm still waiting for my receiver to be properly installed. The first tech that actually showed up, although nice, wasn't skilled enough to complete the job. I've waited several hours on hold for customer service to rebook appointments that continue to be cancelled. Wait times have never been under 30 minutes when calling the 1-800 number. The one tech to show up took back the broken receiver and we still haven't been refunded!!! I want the job completed and my $400 back. Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever received.

NO! WAY!

We had to drive 40 miles round trip since we could not call our local store due to your stupid phone service. I use to love the Geek Squad but it is not as good as it use to be. Rarely can you get help over the phone anymore and you have lost several of your good people in Jackson, TN.

Tv sound not working

Very Disappointed...

The problem is that I paid $150 for this service, and bought a mount for about $90. The installers knew nothing about the mount that bought although I had gotten a confirmation email about the install the day before stating that the installers were going to “pick up your merchandise” and would be there at the scheduled window. I ended up paying $100 for a mount they had in the van. I was also under the impression that cable management was part of the install, and it wasn’t apparently. Very dissatisfied with everything, but the installers...

double check

I booked the appointment with the idea they would program my tv to the resolution they portray in the stores to get the same quality at home. they had no idea what they were doing. all they did was play with my settings tell they realized they couldn't do what was asked. waist of time. the person at the store who set up the appointment didnt do a good job setting it up because they had no idea why they were at my house.

Problem not solved
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This was not a good value and problem still is not resolved (for $150). The technician said it was a problem with the TV. The TV repair guy (who was in a huge rush and didn't seem to feel well) said its the cable (that came with the TV and was installed originally by the Geek Squad). The TV repairman said that he doesn't do any wiring through the wall and that the cable is very delicate. After hours back on the phone with the Geek Squad they supposedly escalated my ticket and on Monday 8/31/2020 I was told that a supervisor would call within 24 hours--well, guess what, its Friday and no one has called.

Never followed up
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Told me my problem was I followed the installation instructions. Told me to change out the cable between ARC on Sony TV and Sony Soundbar to an audio only cable. Claimed too many problems with ARC connection. Told me the problem with my Apple TV box was I connected to router wirelessly and should hardwire it. The two devices are 6 inches apart! After October 14 service, he texted me "OK I can get the order rescheduled and we can bring out one (Apple TV) to you. Never heard from him again. That was 18 days ago.

Don’t waste your money

Appointment was scheduled to occur between 8am and noon. Rep arrived after 4pm. No apology. He attached feet to tv. Gave convulsed explanation of how to use tv. Tried to connect to my internet service but couldn’t. Told me it was my problem & left. I feel I was robbed of the fee I paid. Best Buy has lost me as a customer forever.

Geek squad install didn't work correctly

Came back the next week and attached it again using the optical cable. Worked for about 8 hours. When you turn it on it either comes on as just tv sound, optical sound bar or hdmi sound bar.

Lazy Techs

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Agents did not know where the legs to Samsung Q900 were, I knew they are on back of tv, they did not unbox correctly as shown on their web site, did not manage cables, did not channel one connect cable through back of set and down leg channel as shown on web site, basically just put on stand and plugged in, did not want to use my new shorter HDMI cables due to one connect box, just unplugged my long ones from old tv, that would of been to much work ,not worth $150.00 I paid to have a neat installation!

Paid for setup, and now I need a 'sound bar' added

No installation & setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The delivery/setup of my new TV was denied by the "squad" because they refused to drive up my driveway. I had to drive down to the road, pick up the TV & set it up myself! I still haven't been able to program the TV remote. I am not tech savvy that's why I ordered delivery & setup. I have DirecTV with universal remote so I am able to watch TV. I am very satisfied with the TV just not the service I did not receive.
