M ovie like this comes once in a blue moon. The love/romantic scenes are not very convincing. They lack fire but still good enough for most viewers. Over all it's a nice movie.

    Glad I got these movies

When I was searching to get these movies I wanted to get them at a great price. I found them on here for 3.99 each. Then I noticed after I made my purchase that it said the movie was dubbed, well I wasn't sure about what that meant so I researched it and found that the audio may be in another language than English. I was worried that I would have to return them and pay a greater price for the movie. After all, all I wanted was the movie not all the extras. So, even though I was giving the movies as a Christmas gift to my daughter I was forced (lol) to watch them to see if it was in Spanish. Thank God and to my relief all three of the movies (Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse) were in English. Although, if you want to hear it in Spanish it gives you that option too.

Good movie... if you've read the book

Yeah... so I admit it... I am in love with Edward. Having said that, I wish the movie was better. There was so much left out, and if you haven't read the book, then it's easy to be lost and think the acting stinks. I did enjoy the movie, but I wish it would have been better. I was actually a little disappointed at how much was left out in the movie, but I understand there is only so much you can cover in a movie. I also thought it was a little painful to watch some of the acting in a few scenes... it's almost like it's so obviously fake. It's so easy to get involved with the characters when you are reading this series, and it would have been nice to have been as involved with them on-screen. Even so, I am looking forward to the New Moon movie. I would recommend this movie if you have read the book... but don't expect the movie to be as good as the book.

Twilight the book was amazing. Twilight the movie didn't live up to the book, but was true to the book and is very addictive to watch. The SPecial features on the DVD are great, there's tons of them. Some really annoying things are that the movie skips a lot of the "edward and bella getting to know eachother" parts, it seems like they hate eachother, then all of a sudden they are in love.. it's not how it happens in the book.. and Kristin Stewart has this really annoying habbit of blinking way too much and bobbleheading her head in the movie, but one you get past that it's allright. The characters do a good job, Especially Niki Reed, because Rosalie is very against Bella and shows it well. Watch the movie, but also read the book if you dont want to be disapointed

    OMG! Loved the movie, but...

You have to treat the book and the movie as two separate entities - the movie is an ADAPTATION of the book. If you go in thinking it will be 100% faithful, you will be disappointed. That said, I really enjoyed the movie. Will it win any awards? No (makeup, maybe). However, if you love romances set in lush locales and set to haunting music, then this movie is for you. I really liked Rob Pattinson's interpretation of Edward. I could see Bella falling for him. I wasn't in love with Bella's portrayal, but that is due to the combination of the material and the actress chosen to play her. I think it's more material, though - or maybe direction. All in all, it was a very enjoyable movie. I recommend reading the book first, though, if you haven't already.

    Great Story Line

This was a fabulous book series and translated well enough on screen. Definitely recommend reading the books as not everything can be put in the screenplay. However, I loved the movie. I got a shocker when I bought Roswell (the tv series). The two main characters had a similar rescue the girl, both are forever linked to each other and cannot live without the other. A dark secret that they must hide and others who are trying to split them apart. Funny thing that Roswell was 1999 - 2002 or 2003. Cannot tell if the author of Twilight remembered in her dreams Roswell and just re"vamped" it for Twilight. Still ... I like both story lines. If you love Twilight -- get Roswell. It's hip, funny, the cast is very cute (especially Max Evans).

The Best Movie (Book) Ever Made!!

I don't even know how to begin. This is on of the BEST movies ever created(after a book). It was simply amazing. The actors did a wonderful job. I've read the Twilight Saga (in less than a month; by the way the books are amazing. Go Stephanie Meyer!!) , and i found that Catherine Hardwicke did a great job directing the movie as well as the rest of the cast, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Michael Welch, Justin Chon, Peter Facinelli, Kellan Lutz, Elizabeth Reaser, Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene, Rachelle Lefevre, Anna Kendrick, Jackson Rathbone, did an amazing job portraying the characters in the book. The movie gives you a very clear image on what the book Twilight is about. I surely recommend everybody (well at least every teenage girl) in seeing this movie. In this movie (as well as the books) you will find that you'll be crying, laughing, and even screaming. It will keep you wanting more and at the edge of your chair, bed, exc. What can i say once you get into the Twilight Saga, you never go back. P.S. And yes i am one of those crazy teenagers who is obsessed with the Twilight Saga and its Vampires!!

I love this movie! At first I wasn't sure how I felt about it - but once I bought it and was able to watch it at home (without all of the screaming teenagers!) I realized just how well-made it is. It does a good job of taking important parts from the book and bringing them to life. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart to a fabulous job of bringing the characters to life; as do all of the actors who play in this movie. You can tell that their hearts were really in their roles! The one thing that I have learned from reading books that later turn into movies: You cannot go to the movie and expect it to be as good as the book. If that happened, then the book wouldn't be good anymore! I always want the book to be better than the movie. The movie is just an accessory that goes really well with a book that is exceptionally well written. If the movie makes more people interested in reading the book, or if it makes you want to get out your book and read it again, then the movie played its part well! This movie definitely did its job! I can't wait to see the next movie!!

    Must Have Movie

Not familiar with the Twilight phenemenon? Twilight is a book series written by author [extrodinaire] Stephenie Meyer about a girl who falls in love with a vampire and the struggle of their relationship as he is conflicted by his desire to be with her and his desire to taste her blood. This Disc is the film adaptation of the first book in the series. As someone who's not only read these books several times and spent well over the price of this disc in the theatres seeing the movie, this is THE chick-flick-keeper-movie of the 21st century! I can only say that the thought of seeing all these beloved characters in HD is worth the price of upgrading. Haven't seen the "big deal" of HD, talk to the Geek Squad ! Why go Blu? Well, if you're stilling listening to cassette's in your car radio this probably isn't a big deal, but for the tech-saavy or the extremely lucky, Blu ray movies really do bring the theatre experience to your home. Why buy here? Best Buy is one of two stores that will be carrying this format for the March 21st release.

This movie could've been so much better. Now, I've not read the books, but I know a few people that have, and they said the book was a lot better. (Then again, book's usually are better than the movies, because movies always have to cut some stuff out.) My wife and I are collectors of both. We have about 500 or so books and about 2,000 DVDs. I'm not bragging, just showing credibility. That said, this review is about the movie. I thought the cinematograghy was great, the plot was decent, but the acting was horrible. Plus, my wife and I thought the movie was childishly done. I know the actors are teenagers, but the way it was filmed is like it was strictly for kids and teenagers. I don't even know how it got a PG-13 rating. It was like a PG Disney movie or something. When we got it, we thought it was going to be more serious. On the other hand, I hear the next one, New Moon, is suppose to be better, more for adults. Maybe the movies mature as the characters do. So, if you're looking for a good vampire horror, this is NOT the movie. But, if you want a nice little heart-warming family film, that happens to be about a family of vampires, then this would be a good movie. We were under the impression it was horror/romance, not a kids movie. If you haven't bought it yet, I'd wait for it to drop to $9.99 or just rent it. I hope this review was useful. Also, when I say at the bottom, I would NOT recommend this to a friend, it's because I don't have kids for friends. I would ONLY recommend this to kids, teenagers or families.

Widescreen Ratio is not what I expected

Was very excited for the movie to come out, as I loved the scenery and was excited to see the colors of this movie on my 52 inch tv, however was quite disappointed that the widescreen ratio is not the full widescreen version, ( There is alot of black at top and bottom of the screen, so in reality only about 37inches is viewable on my screen. So if you have a smaller screen then it would be less. I was really hoping that it came so I can see the picture FULLY on my screen because I love this movie. This was really disappointing. Other than that the movie is wonderful, just wish it would have been a little more like the book.

    Fantastic Book Series Great Movie

I am a die hard Vampire fan and have read all of the Anne Rice novels. I never thought I'd come across another author that would portray the Vampire as visural and human as Stephanie Meyers, did. When I saw the much anticipated previews to the motion picture adaptation I became curious after years of disapointment. I read the first book and could not put it down, I then proceded to read the others. I've not been more pleased with a series since "The Vampire Chronicles." Bravo,Stephanie Meyers. The movie adaptation is very close to the book, with only the slightest variations, which is understandable for pacing. The acting and casting was great. The director did a great job with type casting, location and cinematography. This movie was done much better than "Interview with The Vampire,'' in it's trueness to the book. I higly recommend this movie.

A New Twist on Old Favorites

It's a nice twist on vampires. We get to see their inner struugle with the 'disease' while entangled in a love story. While I am not a big love story fan, as they have to be really good for me to be a fan, I did enjoy watching this BD movie. While some special effects were executed flawlesly, other seemed more contrived. They were 'over exaggerated' to the point that they were fake in appearance in the movie. The cable work was primarily the culprit. Overall a good movie that I would sell my friends on. I just hope the others will be better in post-production.

when i was reading the twilight book i was very excited to see them making a movie, but little did i know that this movie would ruin my dreams of the twilight saga. the movie was full of bad acting and bad graphics. yes, it is a touching love story but when the actors are unable to portray this, it just makes it awkward to watch. this movie is great for fangirls that are unable to separate bad acting from obsession, but everyone else looking for a good movie then you can try....almost anything else

I really don't know what every one else is talking about. I think they did a great job in casting Edward and Bella, from the moment that they meet each others eyes in the school cafeteria, you can just feel the personal tension between them. It is a wonderful movie, and just because its about vampires does not mean that they have to have fangs. So get over it! I was on the edge of my seat during the whole movie and I usually don't like movies like this, my Husband was shocked when I said I had to buy it on blu ray. (I usually don't bother with buying movies) but this one I had to have!!! Can't wait to see the other three movies, I'm sure they will soon be in my very limited edition of Movies I own!
