Please consider though, that to control your Twinkly, your phone must be on the same network as your device, as it's the channel they use to communicate!
Anyhow, you can have them on while you're away, they'll reproduce the last effect (or playlist) applied! 😉

Finally, some really fund lighting choices. I even let my daughter draw on the Christmas tree with an iPad and Apple Pencil! Can't do that with grammies lights.

I brought a couple of these string lights and connect them to the Wi-fi. Unfortunately, one of them gave me intermittent connection problems. I had to reset it and switched the connection to local/direct wifi and it worked ok.

The lights are spread to far apart to be able to recognize a distinguishable pattern.

Posted .Thanks for the feedback! Regarding about your considerations, keep in mind that each LED light basically behaves like a pixel, which means that a higher density of LEDs allows the effects to be clearer and more detailed.
Icicles and Curtains have a structure suitable for the reproduction of 2D effects, whereas the string is a different function and shape, which is why the result obtained is also different.

While I'm not a fan of LED lights (because they tend to be way too bright), these look really nice on our tree. I'm a surprising fan... Steve

Have tried resetting, re-pairing, updating firmware. Way too expensive a product to work this poorly. Would take them back, but once you've strung and decorated your tree, it's not worth the trouble. Probably how they stay in business.
