Posted .Thanks for the feedback! Regarding about your considerations, keep in mind that each LED light basically behaves like a pixel, which means that a higher density of LEDs allows the effects to be clearer and more detailed.
Icicles and Curtains have a structure suitable for the reproduction of 2D effects, whereas the string is a different function and shape, which is why the result obtained is also different.

I brought a couple of these string lights and connect them to the Wi-fi. Unfortunately, one of them gave me intermittent connection problems. I had to reset it and switched the connection to local/direct wifi and it worked ok.

Generally the controller gets overheated if placed on materials, like carpets or fabrics, or surfaces, that don't allow it to disperse the heat, as specified on our website (see dedicated article in the Help section).

Have tried resetting, re-pairing, updating firmware. Way too expensive a product to work this poorly. Would take them back, but once you've strung and decorated your tree, it's not worth the trouble. Probably how they stay in business.

Looks cheaply made for such an expensive product. I like the idea and hope they get better. Sucks because its not they didnt even last until Christmas.

Our suggestion is to contact our Help Center via our official twinkly website. In this way we will have able to give you the best assistance and the solution for your issue. As far as outdoor use is concerned, we would also like to clarify that our strings are IP44, so they can be used outdoors all year round, but they are not waterproof. This means that we highly recommended to consider placing the plug and the controller in a proof location, and to avoid plunges into the water for a long time (pools, gutters, puddles… ). We are sure that with our support and these advices, your lights will stay for a long long time!
