This product is incredibly unsafe. I hate to think of what would have happened had we not been right in the room when it happened and it ruined our expensive antique couch.

Generally the controller gets overheated if placed on materials, like carpets or fabrics, or surfaces, that don't allow it to disperse the heat, as specified on our website (see dedicated article in the Help section).
