I got it for my brother , who got deployed to Iraq. This device fits the bill, with all the sand. He did not want to take his laptop. He needed it to write reports etc. He really likes it. The device is portable, and very convenient. Best Buy had the best price.

This new keyboard is an excellent addition to a tablet and makes my new Surface 3 act as the lightweight desktop it promised to be. The keyboard when attached provides a great cover for the screen when the tablet is turned off. Good engineering by Microsoft.

I personally love this keyboard. It attaches to easy, the magnets make a huge difference no need to line it up. I wish the keys were a litter quieter but I'm satisfied. I would have loved it in the plumber color but that wasn't offered with the surface 3

I had a leather enclosure for my Surface Pro 2 which made it bulky and heavier. This keyboard protects as a cover and I have a padded area in my backpack, so I decided to give it a try. Works great and no scratches to the notebook itself. Great design.

Snaps instantly to Surface securely with strong magnet and doubles as a great cover. Illuminated keyboard which is a must. I use the keyboard most all the time as that is what I am familiar with especially when using Office application. Get the Pen, too!

I am very pleased with the Microsoft keyboard, it works just as described. It was very easy and only took about a minute or two to attach to the Microsoft Surface. I love the soft feel of the keyboard and that the keyboard is lighted. Great product.

I absolutely love my Surface and I really love the keyboard! It is large enough to be comfortable, but small enough to be portable. It is also wonderful that it is not bluetooth, so I don't have to charge it! It just clicks in and it is ready to go!

This is the typing cover all Tablets should have. It gives me the feel of a complete keyboard that I use on my desktop. The touchpad works well although you need to get use to the speed. Overall best keyboard I have experienced on any Tablet or Laptop

Makes the tablet into a computer... I love the darker colors because lighter colors tend to get dirty from constant use. Darker colors do not show the dirt or wear and tear. I also like that there are choices in colors. ONE IMPORTANT THING... THE SAMPLE IN THE STORE HAS A LOOP ATTACHED TO PUT UR STYLUS IN... THIS DOES NOT COME WITH THE KEYBOARD... IT COMES WITH THE STYLUS, BUT NOT WITH ALL THE STYLUSES... ONLY WITH THE COLORED STYLUS. The salesmen on the floor DON'T KNOW THIS... but that little loop attached to the keyboard, keeps u from losing your stylus.

A little pricy but easy to use. Just need more colors to choose from

When I purchased my Microsoft Surface 3, I just had to have the keyboard/cover. Two complaints. Wish it would have come in purple and second, should not be a separate purchase but included with the Surface 3 with price adjusted to accommodate.

Very happy with this purchase. I love how perfect it fits with the surface. My only wish would be that it had a better design for holding the pen. It seems flimsy that it is just stuck to the side. Seems like it will wear out after awhile.

has a great feel and works very well... the only complaint is that the touch pad is sensitive to heat, so if your hand or finger gets close, it can reposition the curser somewhere else while you are typing... that is kind of frustrating

This is a step up for me as I had the touch cover when I had the Microsoft surface rt. I love that the keys light up and that I can control all my tablet settings through the type cover! I can also change the brightness of the keys.

I recently purchased a Surface to support access to work on the road, this keyboard has a great feel, it's responsive and make a protective case. I also like the way is snaps on the surface and the angle is supportive for typing.

I tried not to purchase this and just use the touchscreen on the computer, but found that purchasing this was necessary. There a re just some times where the physical keyboard is more efficient. The keyboard is a nice compliment to the Surface 3 when closed. Makes the Surface 3 slightly heavier, but it is still very compact. Not happy that it costs an additional $120+, but that is a Microsoft gripe and not Best Buy, so I changed my rating back to a 5. Rating the product, not Microsoft's policies.

I bought the surface for school and wanted to buy a keyboard so I could take notes in class. I was afraid that the keyboard would be a waterproof type keyboard with barely any feeling in the keys but it was made more like a desktop keyboard with individual keys that click and it also has a backlight so you can type in low lighting.

I've been really impressed with the performance of the Surface Keyboard Cover. I've not had the first problem with it and I love the feel of the keyboard keys. I prefer this option to having a separate wireless keyboard.

I love this thing. Much easier to use than the touch screen and very light weight. I have had no issues with it. The size of the keyboard is nice and makes it so that I am not accidentally hitting the mouse touch pad.

Great keyboard. Due to its light weight, was expecting it to feel flimsy and cheap. Am pleasantly surprised. While it's not as solid as a traditional keyboard, it's is robust enough for regular use and has a good touch.
