Keyboard is a good idea but not 100%

The major drawback is the mousepad. Its too small for my fingers and you need to look down and ensure your hitting the right spot to trigger a left click or right click. Ive decided to just use a usb/bluetooth mouse instead of the mousepad.

I've bought computers and 30 days later sold them on eBay due to a distaste for the keyboard. I love this keyboard so much, I bought it in dark red and blue. It doesn't add much weight to my Surface, but adds a lot of protection. If you purchase a Surface, it's a MUST!

Definite buy for Surface 3

Like any keyboard, you'll get used to it and learn where the keys are, etc. Backlighting works fine. If I'm sitting down, I can fold the keyboard out on one leg and write on the other. Multi-touch/gestures work fine on the touchpad. My only complaint and that would be to Microsoft... is they need volume up and down buttons on the keyboard and not just mute. They had this on the original Surface keyboard so I'm not sure why they removed them.
