Love that the keyboard is lighted. It helps in dimiley lit libraries.

Again another item that is on my must have list with Surface, I like when I can use it like a laptop when needed, and folded back when I use my surface as a tablet. I don't like using screen keyboard as I always feel it block my view when I type.

Great keyboard that doubles as a dust cover. The outer part does not get grimy as I've noticed some tablet covers can and is very durable. The keyboard can be kind of a pain of you have long nails or are a super fast typer but you get used to it.

It's annoying that you have to purchase the keyboard seperately for the Microsoft surface products; however, this keyboard is a huge improvement from the keyboard that was made for the original surface. I love that the keys are backlit. It's a huge help if you are working in the dark as I sometimes do. One thing that is awesome is that the keyboards from the older model surface works with the newer models. The downfall is that the keyboards aren't all the same size which again is annoying but how Microsoft makes its money. I purchased this item as an open box item. The first one didn't work right as the space bar key didn't always recognize when I pushed it. The second one that I received had some sort of spot on it but what do you expect for an open box cheaper item right?

Even for the smallish size the keys are well spaced. Good key feedback and even the trackpad works very well even though it is smaller than usual due to size. Build quality is excellent.

This item is well crafted and works as intended. No complaints.

It's unfortunate that you need to purchase this separately from the Surface itself, but it wouldn't be the most portable laptop without the keyboard. Make sure you take this extra cost into consideration when making your Surface purchase.
