I think it's way better than the previous generation's keypad. Makes typing pretty fast and painlessly (though of course a true keyboard would be better.) I use my surface to take notes in class, and the keyboard works well enough that I don't really lose speed when typing. The red colour is very nice and vivid, although I found out it's easy to get it dirty, so take care of it well!

I live how you don't have to worry about anything when it comes to the key board. It connects magnetically with easy and it just works great. You don't have to charge or do anything to it either which is awesome. Then it can act like a little screen protector when you're carrying your surface because it folds up. Love it!

The keyboard works great, love the red color, but the price is a little high. It does make a great cover.

It works as you would expect. The keyboard essentially turns the Surface 3 into a small laptop/netbook. Quality seems good, keys feel nice and natural on the fingertips. It protects the screen when closed, but that's about it. I wish it was more protective, like a case with a built in keyboard. The price is high for what it gives, but with a lack of 3rd party options right now, what can you do? Try to get this on sale or with a coupon.

In my opinion this is a must have for any owner of a Surface 3. This makes the Surface 3 a tablet and laptop rolled into one package. The keyboard is easily attached and detached and the size and feel of the keys makes typing easy. Of course it also serves as a cover to protect the tablet screen.

The keyboard is a must have for school or work and even for email it's very nice to have. Easy to attach and remove. It seems like too much money when you are looking to buy it but once you start using it feels very worthwhile. It's so much faster than poking away on the surface just as a tablet.

The key board is compact and light easy to use, Comes in different colors. You can also use it as a cover protector, it takes getting use to using a compact keyboard but really enjoy using it. Great design with the magnetic connection to the tablet. I would definitely recommend this.

The tablet comes with two types of keyboards and this is the better of the two. For those of us used to laptops this keyboard is about the same. Same look and feel. Snaps on easily to the tablet and comes off easily as well. Has a smooth finish at the back which gives it a stylish look.

Let's face it -- you're looking over the keyboard options for your sexy new Surface 3. The Cyan Blue is the sexy beast and you know it. Get it and you won't be disappointed! I get tons of compliments because the blue really pops on a table and against the silver metal of the Surface 3!

This is a very good keyboard/cover. It is easy to install and use. The price is a bit much.

This makes the Surface 3 replace the laptop. The keyboard protects the tablet and makes table feel like laptop, but it also disconnects and re-connects so easily (with magnets) that using the surface as a tablet is a breeze. You have to get this if you get the surface.

I bought this when I got my Surface 3 because I planned on doing a lot of typing. It is much easier to use than the keyboard display on the screen if you type a lot. It also makes a great cover to protect the screen. My only complaint is that it is sold separately.

Very easy. Removed the packaging. set the tablet near the keyboard and the magnetic connection pulled the keyboard into place. Good size, good tactile feedback. No reading through set-up/installation instructions, no extra software to download. It just works.

I think that this is an amazing keyboard for my Microsoft surface 3 since it's so lightweight and can attach on its own when brought near. However, I do think that it's a lot more expensive than it should be. The texture is nice, the keys are nice and I like that it can attach to my surface 3. If it was cheaper then I could consider giving it 5 stars.

The Type cover for the Surface 3 is a MUST HAVE! The keyboard is great, although it takes a little while to get used to the compactness. The keyboard has a back-light, which is useful when typing at night. The keyboard also possesses a touchpad, which is very accurate and useful, and has multi-touch capabilities. The keyboard possesses many settings such as mute, play/pause, back-light control, brightness control, etc. The keyboard magnetically snaps into position, and allows for different positions - lay flat,- then it also magnetically attaches to the bottom of the surface to give a raised-keyboard feel, which saves your wrists while typing for a long time. When finished using the surface, it simply closes and locks your surface, and it also protects your screen. When it is folded backwards, it inactivates.

Very glad I purchased the key board with the Surface 3 10.8 as it also works as a good cover for the screen, keeping it safe. It is so much easier to use and faster for me than the on screen keyboard. A real must have!

This keyboard is easy to attach and the disconnect. The keyboard size does not effect the functionality and it works great, This is a must have for the Surface unit. Love the way it folds up when not in use.

I thought the red might be too loud but it gives it personality otherwise it would like like any other laptop/tablet. Excellent backlit keyboard. Love the magnetic feature and its slim and lightweight.

The type cover serves 2 functions. It works great as a protector for your tablet and turns your tablet into a laptop with keyboard. I purchased an open box so it was discounted and works perfectly.
