I am not a big fan of the keyboard. I like the convenience of it but the keys don't want to push down all the way.

Since I did not keep the Surface I had no need for the case. However, the case itself was very good.

Good keyboard but the layout of the Surface 4 keyboard is superior due to the space between keys.

I bought this for the original Surface Pro, it's larger than the original but still works great.

A Nessasary tool for the Surface, but really needs to be more reliable as a working keyboard.

Mouse pad broke and Best Buy refused to give refund

I had problems with my keyboard not responding. I really loved my surface. On the other hand, I had major issues with the keyboard.

I purchased a Surface 3 LTE and enjoyed my experience just hitting the keys on the pop up keyboard menu- but I found myself going back to my Apple Laptop to type out long messages. I decided to take the plunge for the Keyboard - (get the Best Buy Blue , the stylish person in you won't regret it) I am in a deeper love with my Surface 3. I write , work and create all the time on it. I am a filmmaker and in frequent need of moving around and corralling my creative thoughts. I can write all day in my surface. keyboards keys give excellent bounce. The keys light up when I need them to. The trackpad is very responsive and light taps = a double click- TIP - for now use FireFox browser - it's worth it simply for its "readability tab" I was thinking of buying a case. The keyboard cover has taken care of it.

The thing to note is that this is the EXACT same sized keys as the larger one for the Surface Pro 3. The edges are trimmed off to reduce overall size but typing is not compromised. Yes, you could buy any external keyboard but if you just bought this device as a tablet then it was not a good purchase. The Windows store is very limited for true Touch based apps that you need for various things. This is more suited for reading websites than traditional tablet app based gaming etc. However as a portable laptop, it works great and the keyboard is a must have for that purpose. The lighting is great compared to the traditional keyboards. The Bright Red is really Orange as info.

This keyboard is worthless to somebody on a scheduled deadline. You have to keep taking it off amd reconnecting it to keep it working.

The color choices for the keyboard make it a good cool factor here. The backlight is adjustable and keys feel more like a regular keyboard now. I can also use the small groove between the magnetic strip and the keys to hold the pen when the keyboard is closed on the screen, not when it is in use, though.

Does just what it should. Functionality is much better than the previous Surface 2 Type Cover. The track pad is a huge improvement! 100% better feel and function. The magnetic bar that attaches it to the screen also helps with lap typing very much

The keys on the keyboard have the right travel distance and is backlit. The touchpad works with multiple Win10 gestures. Highly recommend if you plan to mainly use your Surface 3 as a computer.

two things keeping my rating from being excellent, the price and it tracks dirt. the corners on the back of the cover track dirt. other than those two issues it is a good keyboard and very responsive compared to the touch keyboard I bought with the original surface

This cover is very nice, only problem is its more of a keyboard then it is a cover, I suggest getting another type of cover if you prefer to use the device as a tablet
