Quite possibly one of the most remarkable products to hit the market in a long time! Typing is a breeze on the TypeCover. The keys are responsive in the same fashion as you'd expect from a standard keyboard. Having each key back-lit is AWESOME! The touchpad is also responsive and accurate, which comes in handy if you need precise touch that fingers simply cannot do. The TypeCover connects securely to the tablet with magnets, and never once do you feel like it is not secure. When it's closed, the cover looks sleek and adds no bulk to the machine. People are amazed when they see you open the cover for the first time to reveal a keyboard "hiding" in the cover. Just a cool product!!!!

This is a great keyboard. I enjoy that when you flip it around to the back that you can't accidentally type on it. Also I love the feature that it puts the tablet to sleep when you close the cover

The keyboard / mouse combo device is a must have accessory for the Surface 3. It's direct connection and placement provide enough screen protection while traveling that any additional screen protection is not needed. The Red cover is very bright, it seems to catch dirt quite easily (which I saw on other Surface users). I just flipped the keyboard face down and applied a liberal coating of scotchguard. The Scotchguard has already paid benefits.

Love this keyboard. Pop's on and off the surface easily. Is back-lit and it folds out of the way when using as a tablet and taking notes in one note. Acts as a cover for the screen as well.

This keyboard is perfect. The keys are a nice size and it's easy to take off the Surface 3 when you want just a tablet. Also, you have the option of using a mouse with this keyboard.

Type Cover works well for a hunt and peck typist such as myself; cannot comment how a touch-typist would find it. Protects Display panel; attaches and detaches with ease.

This is a great keyboard for the tablet world... I've had Bluetooth tablet keyboards which are nice but this feels and works better. Works just like a desktop keyboard.

Solid keyboard and withstands rigorous use. It's a very nice blue. I wish they had a purple one for the Surface 3 though.

I am so glad I got the type cover it makes working so much easier, it is easy to use and it perfect whenever I need a keyboard plus it protects my surface 3 display

I had a touch keyboard for my Surface 1, and while I found I didn't use it much, I liked it to protect my screen and not use a case. Other than that, I didn't use it much, so it was an expensive 'case'. I didn't get one at all for my Surface 2, but with my Surface 3, I couldn’t find a case I liked or that stayed in place, so I gave in and got the type cover. Funny thing is, I have found myself actually USING it more than I thought I would. I like the way it feels, and it doesn't lag at all when I am typing. I would recommend it all the way for someone needing a keyboard for their Surface 3

I purchased this keyboard for my Surface Pro. I had the original type keyboard (not touch) for the Pro and was always a little disatified with it. I was working with someone who had the Surface 3 with this keyboard and played with it. I went out and bought this keyboard that night and have not regretted it at all. It has excelent feel and response from the keys and the touchpad is wonderful. It has worked perfectly since. Even though it is slightly oversized for my Surface, I have no problems carrying it in my hand or in a bag. Definitely a nice addition to the surface Pro.

This type cover is easy to attach/detach. Lighted keyboard is beneficial. Type touch is just right and keeping it attached is nice protector for the surface.

Love this item. My only 'complaint' is the backside material gets dirty quickly and no 10-key:( Otherwise this works great as the keyboard and protector.

Originally I didn't purchase the keyboard, (Surface 3 Type Cover) but found that it makes using the Surface much easier. It's much more efficient than trying to type on the onscreen keyboard. It also provides a cover for the Surface.

To start off I am an avid supporter and user of Microsoft products, and have been since Windows 3.1 was released many years ago. I love the Surface 3 and products!!! This keyboard surprised me when I barely stuck the magnetic middle section to the location where it attaches on the Surface 3, and it went automatically and perfectly! That has never been seen or done before in this manner. It can be removed just as easily. Nothing out there competes with the Microsoft products, especially Windows 8.1, soon to be 10, and all the Surface 3 family. Highly recommended!

It latches to the pad well. The letters on the keyboard don't need to be pressed hard. It is also good as a cover to protect the pad from breaking.

What an excellent idea. It's portable, tough, lightweight & so easy to attach & detach. Couldn't imagine the surface without this keyboard cover.

I was against buying this expensive keyboard. However, if we're going to be brutally honest, Windows 8.1 functions poorly for tablet exclusive use without a keyboard. It is very poorly optimized for touch-only until Windows 10 is released. Once you use the Type cover, you'll experience the Surface 3 the way it was intended. It's pretty much mandatory, which begs the question: why doesn't Microsoft bundle it? It's most likely to keep the cost down and keep the Surface competitively priced. It is expensive and feels delicate, but it looks and works great.

The keyboard is fantastic! Very easy to use and to set up. The mouse is great, just for the simple fact of accuracy when trying to click something!

I like this keyboard. It is easy to use. The buttons feel light to the touch. My only concern is the suede back. I feel like it is wasting away with use. I would have liked it if the keyboard was made with a different material.
