I bought this case to protect my Surface. It has several benefits. 1) It makes the Surface much easy to hold and carry. Much better grip than the slippery metal case of the computer. 2) The pen holder works much better than the magnetic latch. It grips the pen so you won't lose it. 3) The case integrates perfectly with the keyboard and looks fantastic!

Bought the new Surface Pro and did not want to take it out of the box without a case so I ordered this one quickly after reading reviews. This only covers the back so if you were to drop it on an uneven surface that will suck cause it wont protect the screen. There is a place for my pen which is great and the case does not add much weight to the tablet as well.

My laptop tumbled violently down the second stairs and for sure I thought my laptop was ruined. I was very surprised it survived a traumatic fall with no breakages. I also had a glass screen protector.

Without a case I was worried about dropping it or scratching etc. So I decided with this and I am extremely happy with the case. It is very lightweight and thin but still strong and durable while looking very smooth.

Ordered this case for a surface pro for work it is very sturdy and convenient to carry around. However, when my surface pro gets warm the case becomes hot and makes concern and I take it out of the case from time to time. I would recommend this product.

This case fits my Surface Pro 4 very well and is very rugged. It does adds some minimal weight and bulk, but it is well worth it for the added protection.

There is no face/screen protection if using the Surface as a tablet w/o the keyboard. The corners are protected which probably gives it the MIL STD rating. The stand is poorly designed and in my opinion will not last long when you have to use it multiple times a day. There is no hand hold when used as a tablet. I need it for outside work and this case does not give me any comfort for safety as I use it. I hope that Otter Box makes a case soon. Costs too much for what you get, which is very little.

The case protects your product but it is a little bit difficult to put it on the surface. Literally, I heard a small crack when I was getting the covered off. You need to put it very carefully and slowly. But overall, it does his work and protects the surface

Case is heavy duty but the kickstand is half by plastic and did not hold very long

This case is great. Great material and overall protection. Its great if you dont use the kick stand. The stand is solid metal but the latching hardware is super cheap plastic. It doesnt support the weight of my hand resting on top and it falls or folds too easily. This will break or wear out with excessive use.

This item did not come with the keyboard. I called for a replacement and the person assured me it would come with the keyboard. It did not. Very disappointed.

I am actually astounded at the number of 4 star and 5 star reviews. If the kickstand is important to you then this case is a risk. This is an expensive case and I expected more longevity in function. I have owned 3 of these cases in 4 years because nothing seemed to be better designed. ( I guess I'm a glutton for punisment, and I kept hoping newer versions would fix the design flaw in the kickstand that I decscribe below) This case is great in many ways. It has nice sturdy protective shell . The stylus holder works beautifully, Good acces to ports and it looks good. HOWEVER, There is a design flaw in the kickstand. ( I DO NOT use my surface roughly or travel with it. Im retired and I use it at the kitchen table a couple times a day) There is a cheap piece of plastic that guides and controls the opening and closing of the kickstand. Within 6 to 8 months the plastic on this guide piece splits and the kickstand will no longer hold the tablet up. The tablet then flops open and drops. THE SAME EXACT FAILURE ON ALL THREE CASES. I received a warranty replacement 1 time, but 2x I was out of luck. Now I just prop it open on a pile of books. Still trying to find a high quality case with kickstand!

I picked up the case today and immediately installed in on my Surface. First thing I noticed is the kickstand would not stay in place when not used. Seems the stand is a little bent so both magnets weren't touching. I tried to flex it a little and that helped but not perfect. Then the kickstand is supposed to have 5 points of stand possibilities, most seem to weak to hold the tablet with any sort of pressure on the screen (such as stylus use). Could I have just gotten a lemon? Then one last thing..no documentation about warranty or support in the box. No phone number to call for support. May be returning for a replacement, just to see if I got a bad one. Too bad I have to drive back to BB. Another hour round trip.

This thing snaps into place so tightly that it is nearly impossible to get off without breaking the Surface as others have pointed out (on other sites too). I got mine off but heard cracking while doing so. STAY AWAY from this piece of garbage and don't risk ruining your expensive investment.
