We got this case for my 7 year olds iPad. The protective part is great but the front cover is detachable and I can’t get her to leave it on...

I bought this case for my new iPad because it appeared to offer a lot of protection against breakage. (My old iPad was done after two short falls onto hard surfaces.) It is very sturdy and offers the protection that I had wanted. However, I am ready to throw it in the trash. It is very poorly designed in two respects. First, the front cover is attached by a snap-on clip on the back. The clip is garbage. After just a short time, the clip will not stay snapped shut. If you pick the case up by its front cover, the clip will detach and your iPad will fall on the desk, floor, wherever you happen to be standing. Second, while the case also is supposed to serve as a stand for your iPad, it will not support the iPad in a standing position. There is insufficient surface to grip the bottom of the iPad in place when the case is folded to the "stand" position", and, even if you succeed in getting it to stand up, it collapses backward as soon as you start doing any activity that involves touching the screen.

My son bought this IPad case. He uses it all the time. It’s is Definitely worth the money and keeps it protected!

I loathed this tablet case - sure it was tough and would likely protect my investment but it was such a pain: anytime we wanted to stand it up vertically we would have to snap off the cover and it would fall over . . . the pen holder would get in the way of it lying flat on the side it was located on - - - it is also on the heavy side. For kids its awful!
