It looked like maybe it was supposed to come apart, however, it would not stay together at all and every time I tried to put both pieces on my iPad the cover portion would fall off. I am extremely disappointed with this cover.

Removable back is a fail

It pops off unintentionally and is very difficult to reattach without removing the iPad from the case (you have to push so hard to pop it back into place that you probably shouldn't do so while the iPad is in there).

How,ever, do not expect this to prop your IPad up. The problem is the groves are not deep enough and nor can you prop. Never will I buy another one

Pen holder placement awkward and uncomfortable.

I bought this on sale (regular price $60.) I found the hard plastic pen holder to be inconveniently and uncomfortably placed for daily use. I used it for a couple days then gave it away. It held the iPad fine but that’s all I can say for it.

Disappointed

When I tried to snap the outer case on, it wouldn’t engage. I took it to the store and one of the clerks confirmed that it would latch. She even tried a new one with the same results. I had to return it. Now I cant find a case for my new iPad.
