I bought two, one for me one for my friend. It is useful for me and it goes well. However, my friend told me it was broken after used a few months. And it cost so much for repairing.

This thing has a fantastic sound. I use it all the time for house parties at my house and let me tell you that it is LOUD and what I love about it the most is the size of it. It's probably 1/3 of size of your forearm and it very light. Has neat features, like adding a second UE BOOM for an even louder sound. You can also use it for alarms. It requires you to download the UE App for these features, but let me tell you that you won't regret it. You can turn off and control the volume from your phone using the app. Overall, this thing is amazing. I would highly recommend it.

I have tested many bluetooth speakers that have hit the market over the last 2 years, dating back to the original Jawbone Jambox that ignited the craze over portable wireless speakers. The style and max volume of the Beats Pill impressed me enough to get one for my brother as a gift, and he loves it. I have consistently read glowing reviews for the JBL Flip and the upgraded JBL Charge, and once you listen to them in person, you can understand why (especially at their respective price points). But the Ultimate Ears Boom speaker by Logitech has absolutely blown away my expectations as to what a portable speaker in this size-range can pump out. After playing around with it in the store and checking out some excited reviewers' posts online, I decided to get one for myself and put it through the ringer at home. I played songs from my favorite alternative rock subgenres and also from some hip-hop/R&B artists that I like to really get a feel for what kind of bass the Boom could handle. First, you have to realize that it's physically impossible for any speaker this small to provide deep, thumping bass like a unit that is much larger. But the incredibly-loud max volume on the Boom did not become distorted like it did when I cranked up the sound on the Beats Pill, especially when the deep notes were reverberating from the drivers. The 360 degree sound effect was stunning, and the physical design of the Boom (which includes a water-resistant fabric-like speaker grille cover) was well thought-out to be both trendy and practical. I also am a fan of the funky, oversized volume buttons and the unique color-schemed models available to choose from. I have been searching for wireless bluetooth speakers that have great overall music quality and I've found it in the ue boom. I've heard the beats pill, pill 2.0, and XL. Jbl flip, Bose soundlink, and many more. The Ue Boom is better than all these speakers. I primarily use it outdoors where audio can get drowned out by outside noise but this one does not. This thing is Water resistant, you can stand 50 ft away from it, has 15h of battery life, excellent bass for indoors with right acoustic set up, and has an app to control the ue boom. You can also buy two ue booms and have them play from the same audio source. For 150 dollars less than all the speakers above the ue boom has way more too offer. What helped me to buy this was I was in Westfield mall in San Jose,Ca went to the best buy mobile store turn the speaker all the way up and walked more than 50ft out of the store and could still hear the lyrics clearly over the people in the mall and the music of the mall.

I was looking for something louder than my computer and phone that I could listen to music and movies on, and found more than I expected! I went to several BestBuy's to hear and compare portable speakers and wasn't really impressed with most of them. The speakers that were easily portable had no sound quality or volume, and the bigger speakers would distort the highs to push the bass. The push button display they have set up is nice, but it doesn't make them sound too good and talked me out of buying this several times. Finally I bought it, brought it home, and hooked it up. Can swap between phone and computer just by pausing one, wait 5 seconds, and hitting play on the other. The sound is AMAZING!!! The store display/sound does not do this any justice. I have my computer turned down to 20% and it still fills the room with great sound, and can be heard outside the building. The bass is a little soft for what I like, but put it a few inches from a corner and the sound magnifies tremendously. Once it was charged took it all over the place, and the battery is suppose to last 15 hours but was still going strong after 18 hours strait.

Wanted background music all day on boat without draining boat battery

This is by far the best bluetooth speaker that you can get at the $200 price mark. It absolutely blows the Beats Pill out of the water, the Pill is getting people to buy it because of the name "Beats", which Beats are even worse now since Monster no longer makes them. This UE Boom is outstanding tough, the battery life is amazing, the sound quality is perfect! It also can be loud and let you hear your music even in a busy student union! I have used this speaker constantly since I bought it! I also love that it is "Life Resistant"! I don't have to worry about taking it places, it will be able to handle it! Don't waste your money on anything less, or over spend on anything more!

Decent speaker on sale, but I would recommend saving up and getting a Bose speaker.

I have had a chance to try many of the best bluetooth speakers on the market such as the JBL Charge, Sony BTX300, TDK A33, and of course the Bose Soundlink Mini. All of them had their strengths and weaknesses, but ultimately, the UE Boom beats them all. This thing is the size of an energy drink, but puts out a louder and more detailed sound then even Sony's giant 6 pound BTX300 speaker. The UE Boom is very durable (water and stain resistant), has excellent battery life (up to 15 hours), lots of features (iphone app, speaker phone, usb charging, etc.), and is built with quality from top to bottom. The sound can get so loud and remains so clear that it regularly makes you forget that is is a tiny portable bluetooth speaker. The only downside to the UE Boom is that the low end bass can be a bit weak (especially compared to the Bose Mini), but the Boom beats the competition in every other category. If you are looking for the best all around portable bluetooth speaker on the market, this one is it!

Good sound no battery life said would pay back for 15 hours only lasted 3 after returning the first one thought defective only to return the second one because only lasted 3 hours of play back on full charge

This was my first wireless Bluetooth speaker purchase so I listened to many and found the UE Boom to have the best sound of all comparable $200 speakers. Buying it on sale for $99 blew away those in the $100 range by a lot. I am happy to say that this speaker sounds as good, if not better, in my home as it did did in the store or as I had hoped. This speaker sounds great in any room in my house and gets more than loud enough for me. The quality is very good for the size of this speaker- very full and balanced sound that fills the room. I listen to everything (other than rap/hip hop) including pop, jazz, classical, indie, rock, R&B, you name it. I stream various music services and my library from my phone and have not had any problems. I am very happy with this speaker and highly recommend it for anyone who wants a great sound at an affordable price.

I bought this speaker after an extensive research and comparison between Bose mini, JBL flip, beats pill. I went to best buy store and asked the service person to place all three side by side for comparison and to my dismay, the UE Boom hands down outperformed others to include Bose. I have a lot of Bose products and this is the first time I deviated. There where a lot of people actually surprised during the comparisons and two people actually bought the UE Boom after the comparison. I am very pleased with the clarity and great sound of the UE. I will definitely buy another one so I can have two to enjoy since it has the capability to play two system. This is truly an outstanding product. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great a sound. Even though the Bose produces a low end base the UE has the right base and all around music clarity. And yes I mean all around.

What a great speaker! The sound quality is superior and I love that it is waterproof. I use it on the dunes at the beach, the battery life allows me to play music for a full day. I want to try it in the kayak, but I don't think it will float...

I purchased 2 so I could pair them together but they kept unpairing. I would not promote these speakers if this is what you are looking to do.

One of those things you don't realize you need until you have one. Good sound, good range and functionality as a speakerphone, very easy to pair with devices and remote control via smartphone app.

Fantastic speaker. Great highs and lows for sound quality! Long long battery life which is awesome. Weather resistant, durable, and long range coverage makes this an easy sell. Easy charging and syncing to your devices. Sounds great when pointed in any direction too. Overall I am really happy with this cool speaker...one of my favorite purchases for sure! :)

This is one of those products that you don't hear too much about until you start to look for reviews online. Do a search for Jambox vs Boom, or Soundlink vs Boom, and you'll see that the Boom always comes out on top. The Soundlink Mini is a great sounding speaker and would be perfect if you're keeping it in your house (average battery life and easily damaged). The Jambox is a good speaker, but it lacks the water resistance and the longer battery life. The Beats Pill sounds tinny. And no one else has the great combination of features that the Boom has. I listened to many speakers and read many reviews before I made my decision. 200 dollars is no small sum of money for a portable speaker...choose wisely.

The UE Boom speaker sounds great! I coach youth athletes year round and the UE Boom has been a perfect addition to our practice sessions. Being water proof & shock absorbent was a big factor in my purchase. The 360° sound is another great feature. I've also hooked up my UE Boom to my digital receiver for added sound on my television for game day using the headphone jack. The first few times I did this it worked seamlessly. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, I can't get this to work anymore. I plug the headphone jack as a normally do, but I get absolutely nothing. The UE Boom speaker still connects seamlessly with my MP3 devices via Bluetooth, but will not play any sound out of the speaker using the headphone jack. All in all great product. I wish I could have purchased it's newest version the UE Boom 2 instead as it can only be better.

I've been in the market for one of these for when I workout or just when I'm on the computer and want to listen to some music. I went into Best Buy and I starting playing around with the demo and I was shocked at how loud and crisp the sound was. this thing would be perfect for outdoors, party's or just for everyday use. it's a very solid product. I believe it comes in 6 different color combos and had a USB and wall charger. only thing I didn't like is that the USB and Charger are a ugly yellow color... but it's not that big of a deal. The price is a little of the high side but I really think you will get your money's worth out of this item.
