I bought this speaker because I wanted something to take out on the pontoon boat and they said it was waterproof. It has hit the deck on the boat several times so I am glad that it can take good beating and keep on performing. It might be better though if it had some sort of stand that would keep it from falling and rolling around on the boat. maybe make it a hexigon like a pencil so it wont roll. The sound is great. Everyone who hears it is impressed.

The speaker has great quality, bass and loudness. The battery lasts a long time on it. One thing though, when pairing it with my Nexus 6P to play music on Pandora, the sound cuts out after a couple songs, then I have to hit a volume button on the speaker or pause and play the music again. Has the latest firmware. Don't know if it's an issue with my BOOM, Nexus 6P or Pandora Android app. It also happens on my BOOM 2.

I really like this speaker. Its sound quality is great, and the battery life seems long.

I rarely purchase anything over $100 without a fair amount of research as to my best option considering value and quality. I purchased the UE Boom after reading many reviews and eventually hands-on testing of my top picks. It was difficult for me to decide between this speaker and another as they were so close. In my experience, the most notable features were the Boom's multi-directional sound and the high volume with low distortion. The one lacking aspect that really turned me off was the poor bass output. Bass is virtually non-existent. Highs and mids are crisp and clear but the bass is so inadequate that it is distracting. I am not referring to a Sir Mix-A-Lot window rattling bass. Imagine if McCartney only sang and didn't play bass or the Red Hot Chili Peppers without Flea. The lack of bass is the only thing the Boom needs to make this the perfect Bluetooth speaker. The bottom line is if you are a young twenty-something who has frequent large gatherings outdoors during the summer, this is the speaker for you. If you are a little more experienced in life (slightly older) and enjoy craft beer while toasting a few premium cigars with some good friends, you might want to consider the Bose Soundlink Mini. I returned the Boom and purchased the Mini. It is tiers above the Boom for sound quality but it should be noted that it is much less convenient than the Boom. I am willing to give up convenience for sound quality. The speakers sole purpose is to play music so sound quality should be given priority. The Boom can be placed anywhere and fill the entire area with it's 360 design, it's simply amazing. Place the Mini in the corner of a room and you're good. The Boom can be left outside and survive a rain storm. Don't forget the Mini outside. The Boom has a higher sound level output. If you own a Mini, don't invite over your friends who scream their glory-days stories. Combine the features of the Boom with the sound of the Soundlink Mini and you have the perfect Bluetooth speaker.

This is a great speaker, especially when it was on sale for black Friday/cyber Monday for $99. Working outdoors I need a speaker that is dust and water resistant. Love being able to pair it with another UE BOOM.

In short, this is a great little speaker. It pairs for the first time quite easily and has a big sound for its little size. It is apparently highly water resistant, but I have yet to test that feature thank goodness. At this price point it has some pretty stiff competition and I think sounds equally as well, it certainly has the longest battery life in class. Overall, great speaker, love it!

I love the clarity of the audio sound it produces while listening to music. Audio quality is just perfect. With IOS and Android apps you can fine tune the EQ which was the plus point for me to choose over Bose Sound Link Mini. Also it have a perfect volume of bass. I can listen to the music whole day and my ears doesn't get tired of of the sound. In addition you can set the alarm and use as a speaker phone. With the medium level of volume I can listen loud music in apartment style living room. Its features are worth every penny.

Bought one to listen to my iPod around the house and it exceeded my expectations. Very good sound, the battery last a long time, easy set up. Definitely worth the price.

This is an excellent Bluetooth speaker. Great sound quality and is very loud. It's worth the money. I have had no problems with it. Battery life is great!

You must truly experience it for yourself in order to get the full effect. Like many shoppers here, I was looking for something compact but able to produce great sound. I was looking at the jambox but the reviews told me to stay clear of it. I picked this (all black) to prevent dirt from being too noticed once it start to get dirty. The only thing that some may complain about is that it cannot be placed horizontally unless you place something in front or back of it to stop it from rolling...but thats my take on it.

This speaker is louder than the similarly priced Beats model (the Pill, I believe), has EQ customization (including a custom EQ mode with a firmware update), and is fairly resilient. I take it into the bathroom to shower, Take it on the road, use it at home with my laptop... And, if you're willing to shell out $200 more, you can get two and pair them with one device for the Pair Up mode, which allows you to play true stereo sound.

Already have a UE Boom wireless speaker and wanted to get a second one. Paired together the sound is go good, clear, and great for the outdoors. Absolutely love it.

This speaker has been great. Always pairs and the battery life is optimal. Definitely going to get another one to try out the 2 speaker pairing feature.

I have been looking for a wireless bluetooth solution for about six months. I read reviews here and on Amazon and Consumer reports. Everyone seem to like this speaker. I got it on a flash sale about a month ago and so far I am loving it. The only negative is that the base is a little weak. But Consumer reports said the same thing, so no surprise. I use it in my family room and haven't taken it outside yet, so I can't review sound quality ourdoors.

The UE Boom produces great sound. Setting it up is very easy. Using 2 of them for stereo sound works great. It is very nice use around your house, although without having a handle or carry pouch it doesn't lend itself to use while moving.

Bought this speaker as a Christmas gift. We tested it out for the first time the other day and we're OBSESSED! Love the sound. So clear and loud. Can be far away and will still remain connected. Battery life is great! Lasts all day without needing a charge. Completely worth the money for a good quality speaker. Would definitely recommend.
