If you haven't done so already, I highly suggest that you download Ultimate Ears' Boom app---available at Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The Boom app will allow you to remotely turn on your speaker once you're within range---up to 100 feet away---and also allows you to customize the EQ settings to your liking. With the Boom app, you'll also be able to Party Up and pair to other Ultimate Ears Boom speakers (Boom, Boom 2, Boom 3, Megaboom, Megaboom 3, and Hyperboom) to really get things pumped up. It easily fits in the cupholder and its shape is perfect for projecting sound (not too much). The app is easy to use and is perfect for this application. If you want louder and deeper sound go with the Megaboom.

Well made Bluetooth speaker

If you place speaker in a corner it strengthens the bass response a lot. Good portable speaker, not great enough sound to replace your main sound system.
