However, I shopped this as a Stocking gift for a friend, because of the 3.5mm audio jack being relevant. Connecting this speaker to a smart TV either by bluetooth or by 3.5mm really made this speaker into a portable sound bar which is a plus. Now, the TV remote turns the UE BOOM 2 LE's volume up & down. It's not often you find a durable, OK sounding speaker that can plug & sync so easily.
