It had no bass to it and didn't have that great of sound quality. My JBL flip 3 sounds better than that. For the price of this I'd expect better sounding quality coming from it. I returned it and got the JBL charge 2 and I'm very happy with that.

Bought this because i wanted a speaker that was portable, good sound and held the battery for hours. This speaker would die in an hour and will not play while charging. Good sound but not worth your money

Don't waist your time or money on this. I got the jbl boom box and love it. This speaker has little to no bass at all and the sound sounds cheap and trebley. Trust me get a JBL

I purchased the Boom for a conference call. I was disappointed that callers had difficulty hearing me and I couldn't hear them. It didn't perform like I was told it would. I am looking for another product.

I bought this on 12/28/19. Once the battery gets below 45% it dies shortly thereafter...like in a matter of 10 mins. So disappointed. Don’t bother with this speaker.

    UE vs Bose

    Posted .

So I bout both UE boom2 and bose soundlink color 2 to compare(hard to do in stores with everyone pushing them all to test) the Bose really surprised me with crisp clean sound and over durability, I just couldn't quite get it loud enough... then I tried this UE boom2.... can't believe how much louder and clean sounding it was, makes the bose sound muffled, and to top it off it's 360 sound and much easier to store, also its waterproof not just water resistant like the bose. I myself will be taking back the bose and keeping this UE boom2.

Great durable, portable speaker. The minimalist design is superb and is easy to use. The app for Android is intuitive and easy to use. The motion activated functions need a bit more tweaking to be perfect, but nonetheless functional.

    Speaker Quality Awful or Defective

Not sure if the speaker is awful or if it came with a blown speaker. I listen to mostly piano music and once it gets to the lower notes it sounds terrible. Even the base on normal tracks.

Hi Cate, thank you for sharing your experience with the Boom 2 LE. I'm sorry that the device stopped working. There are 2 resets you can try. The first is a soft reset by pressing the Power Button and Volume Down button at the same time for 8-10 seconds until the speaker makes a chime. It will then power off. When you turn it back on you will need to reconnect your phone to the speaker. The other reset is a hard reset. You will need to press the Power button, Bluetooth connect button, Volume Up and Volume Down all at the same time and hold for 8-10 seconds. This will also turn the speaker off and when you turn the speaker on you will need to reconnect your phone. I hope one of these two options refresh the speaker so that it works again. Thank you for being an Ultimate Ears customer. Kristi from Logitech

I bought this speaker at a discount which made it that much more desirable. A lot of my peers use the UE boom devices and I can see why. Besides JBLs, UE Booms have a very good sound and can be played loud without sounding too distorted. The battery life is good and base is definitely on the louder end. I wish I would have waited and gotten the UE Megaboom when it went on sale. This is on the smaller size but a good thing is you can pair multiple speakers. I absolutely love the Serendipity color and wish they would offer that color on the larger size.

Hi Mrsdasilva, I'm sorry that the Boom2 EXC battery is not lasting. You can try a reset on the speaker by pressing and holding the Power button and the Volume Down button for 8-10 second until it makes a chime sound. This might help with the longevity of the battery. I hope that outside of the battery issue that you are enjoying the sound and other features of the Boom2 EXC. Thank you for being Logitech customer. Kristi from Logitech

    Great Speaker

I bought this speaker about a year ago now, principally for camping trips, since it was supposed to be water-resistant, shock-resistant, freeze-resistant, and boasted a 13 hour battery life. Well, it's been rained on twice (water-resistant does not mean you can drop it in the pool, but that it can take a brief shower), dropped three or four times, and frozen a dozen times. It has survived all of that with flying colors. One thing I've noticed is that if you play it at it's loudest levels, the battery only lasts about two hours. But that is very loud. In camp, I run it at about 3 or 4, and it lasts pretty close to the advertised 13 hours. It's been so impressive, that three of my buddies have bought the Boom as well.
